CAN NOT BE BEAT FOR THE PRICE! OUTSTANDING CUSTOMER SERVICE!!
I am absolutely blown away by how compact and light weight the unit is. It made me skeptical at first since I doubted anything this size could handle harder materials like stone (but it does with ease!). Second, the quality of build and intuitive controls make this a breeze to set up and start operating. As others have said, you can be up and going within 10-15minutes and that's taking your time. After doing some test runs on the provided materials (also very much appreciated), I set up a slate coaster to see how it would perform. Initially I had set the unit on too high a resolution (2k) and too small but once I figured out my mistake, the subsequent tester was so easy! A few things I wanted to bring up (not so much that they are issues as little grievances). The included hood with fan is much appreciated but it's so effective that I can not see the previews. I guess raising/lowering to view isn't too complicated, but I just want to be sure I'm not wearing things out prematurely. *EDIT* Customer service contacted me and explained how to adjust the brightness so previews are legible through the hood. Super easy adjustment on the app and I can't believe I didn't see it* Last, if it would be possible to have increments labeled on the laser's stand for quick reference, that would be appreciated (I used blue painter's tape to mark my settings for now). Overall, this has been a great investment. I have branded coasters (slate), leather patches, glasses and stainless mugs, and my phone cover with flawless results. It'd be hard to beat this level of quality at this price. You can certainly find cheaper units out there but why waste your time and money on inferior quality results.

Excellent First Machine
Absolutely love my LaserPecker 2. I’ve had it for a few days and found it an absolute joy to use. Plenty of people can tell you the limitations of the machine, but if you’re new to laser engraving this is an awesome unit to learn with. -The app is easy to use. -The speed is amazing -the small size makes it easy to use anywhere -The price is a bargain for what it can do I’m hooked and I can’t wait to keep experimenting and learning. Definitely recommend if you’re getting into crafting

Do not trust those Youtube reviews!
This laser is definitely NOT powerful enough for any of the advertised materials except for wood. It says it's okay with metal but the laser is definitely not powerful enough for metal etching. If you're planning on starting an etsy store with the LP2, this is definitely going to ruin your product and cost you money. There is no jig so you can't align your products so your print is centered every time. Since there's no jig, you also can't just slide items in and out with the vent shroud on. You have to take off the shroud, align your item, and put the shroud back on. The software is so buggy that if your computer goes to sleep, it will sometimes cause the location of the art to shift to a random place on the laser. The software will show the art at the same place but the laser will laser another area. The worst part of this laser is that the laser power is not consistent in the entire print area! The laser is the most powerful in the center, in around a 1 inch diameter. Outside of the center 1 inch diameter, the laser quickly drops off power so you get inconsistent results. If you want to laser a straight horizontal line, it will literally be faded on the ends and the center is focused. Also there is absolutely no consistency with the laser print. I can laser one that is passable and the next one is completely faded, without changing any conditions. The PC and Mac software is full of bugs. They had an older version of the software that works but it's buggy. The new software that they have on the website doesn't connect at all with bluetooth and forces you to buy the $100 USB dongle to print wirelessly. They also removed the old software so if you don't have a backup of the old software, there is no bluetooth connection. If you are making wood coasters for your family then this works, but if you want to laser any other material or need any consistency then this is NOT a good product.

Versatile and portable laser etching machine.
Overall I am very happy with this purchase. The Laser Pecker is quick to set up and very easy to begin using with the downloadable app. Fast etching process and have had impressive results with both wood and leather projects. The roller is fantastic for etching coated stainless steel tumblers, but I haven’t had great results with bare stainless steel. I haven’t used the roller to move the etcher itself over a longer distance, but looking forward to giving it a try. I have only owned the laser etcher for about a month and excited to try more materials. The etching area is limited to roughly a 4” x 4” area, but as previously mentioned, if you use the roller you can etch a much longer project (still limited to a 4” height). Positioning the materials under the laser can be time consuming. Using metal rulers, strong magnets, and a cookie sheet, I built a guide to save time when engraving multiple copies of the same project. It has been a time saver. I’ve attached pictures to show what I did.
