Monterey Ballpoint Pens, Set of 2, Black and White With Gold Details, Bold (1.0 mm) Point, Black Ink

I've had a pack of these pens for about 6 months now. And I feel like I have enough time with them to actually post a decent review.I work as a chef, so finding a solid pen that works when you need it too. Can be... difficult. For the uninitiated, trying to write labels on a wet stainless counter or on a cutting board can tear your labels and destroy your pens. Not to mention the heat, standing over a flatten and grill for 14-16 hours a day will wreck your writing utensils.Pros:Heavy and metal. They look very slick and professional. I know that even if my hands are wet from sweat or covered in salt this pen isn't going anywhere. It writes like a dream. I haven't had any issues with the ink splotting, coming out uneven or the infamous no ink at all. Thing where no matter how much you write or scribble you just end up pushing indents into everything instead. I also love the flat topped plunger, the click is audible and tangible. So even if I can't hear it, I know when I need it, this pen is ready to write.Cons:When I first got them out of the box, I had to push the cap for the retention band back down so the band would stay in place and not endlessly rotate. But that's it.Overall:I love these pens. Totally worth the $8 or $9. When these pens dry up, I'll definitely be reordering them. Hope this helps, for who ever cares. Lol

Cool pens! I prefer the smooth body that extends right to the tip, as textured ones tend to irritate my finger after long writing sessions. I’ve swapped the refill for Monteverde gels, which are hands-down the best refills out there.

By far my favorite pen! Ink doesn’t smudge and they write great. I especially like the weight of these in my hand compared to the plastic version.

Pen has some weight to it looks exactly as shown in the pictures and writes really well.

Great weight, smooth writing, dries quick, no smearing(right handed), one grip: the click top popped off after two weeks, but fits right back on.

I'm very picky about my pens, I really can't stand pens that drag or snag on paper, and they need to have a good weight to them that's not going to hurt my hand. I started buying U-Brand pens in college for classes favoring the felt tipped kind. Recently I branched out more to this style of ballpoint pen, and now they're my go-to work pen.First of all, they last forever. I have yet to replace the original pack of three pens I bought while starting this job, and I only ordered more for the color variety and the fact that I really enjoy them as a pen brand. I go out of my way to find this brand when I can, and when our local store is out, Amazon is my go-to. They're smooth, fast, and satisfying to use.Second, they're durable. The amount of times I've dropped them and sent them flying down the hallway just for the finish to be as smooth as usual is astounding. They feel nice to write with and my co-workers have borrowed them multiple times. They continue to be the only pen I really stick to a brand with, and I hope to have them for a long time coming.

Just an elegant pen…. If you love to write in the secret language of our elders , this is a pen for you. Fluid and comfortable.
