Base these with the miniature dnd bases and decorate with some green foliage. The trees won't fall over and look even more realistic then by themselves. Without the basing, the trees are really lackluster because they fall over so easy. Miniature bases fixed that problem very quickly.

I have been using these for terrain for a northern forests-themed role-playing adventure, and they are a little small but good for 28mm minis. My only complaint is that they are light in weight and continually tip over. I am going to try gluing pennies (yes, coins) to the bottom of them, and I think that should serve as a good base-weight to steady them on the game board.
