My son sweats alot on his head. We are not needing to use for wig application just looking for a product to reduce sweating. Would this work?

Yes it will help...it's essentially anti-prespriant for the head..make sure to spray a paper towel and then wipe the head

Can this be used without a wig but as an antiperspirant for the head?

The product is used to cleanse the scalp in preparation for application of the glue for attaching to the wig.

I am not bald im a woman can this be used on my head to help with excessive head sweat?

Well...it closes the sebaceous glands, so theoretically yes. But it's designed for skin to glue bonding for wigs and track hair. I am unsure of how it would work for the purpose you are looking to use it for. Hope this helps.
