Cosco Scenera NEXT Convertible Car Seat (River Run Blue)

We ordered this carseat as an alternative for travelling with my toddler. His large extend2fit car seat would be too difficult to carry through an airport, use in a rental, etc. This one worked out great. So lightweight and easy to travel with, also fit great in a standard airline seat. I will say, we were hesitant to use it in our rental car and didn't feel it would be as safe. Our hesitations were quickly put aside...we were involved in a car accident day 1 of our trip and the collision was impactful to the side of the vehicle my son was in. He was 100% fine. No injuries whatsoever, and the paramedic reviewed the structure of the carseat and it was still in perfect condition. When the vehicle was undriveable after the wreck, my baby was perfect and the carseat held up. So thankful in this case that the price did not represent the quality.

Purchased for air travel for our two year old. Light weight perfect for toting around the airport. Fit in the plane seat perfectly while not taking up too much space for the person sitting next to it. Now we use it as an extra seat for grandmas car very satisfied with purchase. Fabric is thin but easily washable and wiped off. Provides a place for my daughter to lean her head when she falls asleep.

This car seat is as light as advertised (only 6 lbs!), but it slides around a little more than I would like when I put it in the car. Not side to side, of course, it's perfectly secure, but it has room to slip up and down so the part touching the backseat of the car can go higher or lower. It makes it hard to adjust. The next time we travel with it, I plan to use some of that nubbly drawer liner stuff under it to try to see if it will stay in place better. But it's a great seat for travel and to have on hand when the grandparents are picking up the kiddo from daycare, or taking him for the day.

Fits in the plane seat and does the job for the rental car. Very light too so quite cool. Maybe a bit to wide so I couldn't leave in on my hand luggage to walk in the alley up to my seats so you have to lift it over the seats.

We took this on a trip to Hawaii, and it was perfect. We used it on the plane and in the rental car. It a very simple, bare bones car seat without any bells or whistles, but it did the trick. It is very light weight for carrying through an airport, and easy to install on the plane and in a car. It was also easy to clean. My only complaint is that even though it says up to 40 lbs, it was very tight on my 34 lbs daughter (the straps just aren’t long enough). There is no way it would last her up to 40 lbs. But at this price point, even one use was worth it.

This was great for our airplane trip recently. It fits on the GoGoBabyz wheels and is super light. It would have cost us more to rent a car seat at our destination, so we figured we got our money's worth no matter what. It's nothing fancy, but it met our needs!

Purchased this seat for my three year old niece. I occasionally pick her up from school and already have 2 Britax convertible seats across the bench in my 2017 Ford Explorer. I purchased this seat hoping that it would fit between the two larger and more expensive Britax seats. Unfortunately, it did not. I tried almost every combination in my mid-size SUV and it did not work. This seat is often praised for being able to fit three across at a much lower price point than others i.e. Diono and Clek.As for quality, the seat is very light especially in comparison to my Britax Boulevard and Marathon seats. This could be a pro or a con for each user. I could see how its light weight could be a positive feature for traveling. As a mom who spends hours a day in my car with little ones safety is a top priority. I can easily install the two Britax seats, this one was not so easy. It has the "fish hook" latch connectors which can take a little getting use to. I also tried to put my 18 month old daughter in the seat rear-facing and like may others was unable to get the correct angle on the car seat alone. The car seat did not feel secure in the back of my car and I honestly would not want to use this as my every day seat.I think it could be good in the case of needing a second or third seat for grandparents or travel. However, I just didn't feel safe putting my child in it for long car rides on the interstate. I think I would have felt much more comfortable going over the install with a carseat technician like I have with my other carseats. Just remember that most car seats are installed incorrectly and that all have to pass the same national safety tests. If this seems like a good deal for you, then go for it. Just don't expect the same features that a $150+ seat would have.
