Stamps are .55 cent each if I purchased 200 stamps at $.55 each should cost me $110 not $139 why am I being charged more ?

Amazon charges a fee to sell on its site. USPS charges a Fee to ship the stamps. The Seller have to charge a Fee for their service also. These stamps are starting to be hard to get at most post offices also.

Yes these are Forever Stamps so they will always be equal to the value of a one ounce, first class letter in the U.S. The stamps can be used to mail a letter, or towards the total postage cost of any USPS shipment, or can be saved as a collectible. Thank you.

why does the 'forever' word have a line through it?

US Postal Service regulations require a line through the word "forever" to prevent counterfeit stamps from being printed (using a color scanner, for example). The actual stamps you buy will not have that line.
