Cooking Light The Fresh Food Fast Cookbook: The Ultimate Collection of Top-Rated Everyday Dishes

This collection of 750 easy recipes has given new life to my 48-year old cooking career as a wife and mother. I love having a purpose when I go to prepare a meal, not wondering what to fix or what ingredients there might be. I can keep "fresh ingredients" on hand, as I love to use, and in 20 to 30 minutes, have a flavorful, interesting entrée for supper! What's better than that!

The previous incarnation of this book, 5 Ingredient 15 Minute Cookbook, has been one of the mainstays of my kitchen since its publication in 1999. But it's a fairly short book and no matter how much we loved its recipes, some of them had worn out their welcome over time. So I went looking to see if there were a newer edition, and lo and behold I found this! The recipes are still as easy to prepare as before. The book is much larger than its predecessor, the focus has changed to healthier foods (the old book used a lot of canned and prepared stuff) and I'd be hard pressed to find a recipe in it that didn't look like it would be delicious (as all the recipes we've tried so far have been). The 5/15 cookbook has been retired to our old cookbooks shelf and this one has become one of our go-to sources for fast and healthy food. We love it.

I bought one for myself and it seemed like every recipe I tried was fresh and delicious, as well as easy to make. I loved it so much I bought one for each of my grown daughters as well. I would totally recommend this cookbook!

The problems with health eating - cost, taste, difficulty. This book is the answer to all three. An incredible variety of recipes, of which I've only tried a few so far. But these are tasty, easy, fast and you won't break the bank when you go shopping from a list comprised of these recipes! These are fantastic recipes, easily managed in under 30 minutes (many are half that) and made from simple, basic ingredients to deliver a meal planning rotation even a meat & potatoes guy like me can stick to. The reason for only 4 stars is the binding. Everyone I know with this book has pages falling out after only a couple months, and mine has already shed a couple pages.

One of my favorite cookbooks. Fresh, healthy, easy recipes. Not always inexpensive though and many recipes not suitable for my picky kids, not quite the best family cookbook. But best I've found so far to meet my busy schedule and desire to make healthy dinners.

Lots of clearly written uncomplicated recipes and lots of photos. Marked dozens of things to try. First recipe tried was excellent. Recommend.

Great recipes. But not enough with things you would already find in your kitchen. For every recipe you have to go grocery shopping. Very inconvenient.

Fast, fresh, easy. If you don't have an ingredient ,or can't find it at the store, it gives you alternatives.

I own other cookbooks from the CookingLight series. And this book is rather a compilation of recipes from their other books. Hence the 4 stars.

Love the helpful pictures, normally I would utilize the internet, I appreciate the convenience of having the book on the counter, old-school! ha ha
