I purchased my ThermoPro TP55 based on the features it has, and its high percentage of favorable reviews on Amazon. When it first arrived, I wanted to see if it was accurate. As a homeowner I don’t have access to sophisticated scientific testing equipment, so I did the best I could with what I had to work with. I placed the ThermoPro on a book shelf in the living room, between a new compact thermometer / hygrometer from another manufacturer, and an older unit I already had. I then checked the readings of all three periodically, to see if they were in sync with each other. Over the course of two consecutive days, they did not vary more than three or four tenths of a degree temperature-wise, or four or five points humidity reading, from each other. From time to time I checked the temperature on the book shelf with my trusty instant-read digital meat thermometer (the kind with a long metal probe); it showed the same reading the other thermometers did. And, best of all, the thermometers were consistent with the temperature displayed on the heater thermostat. From that testing, I was able to conclude that the TP55 can be relied upon to provide the correct temperature and humidity, and that it responds to changes as quickly as my other two thermometer / hygrometer devices do. Besides its accuracy, there are other features of the TP55 that I like as well. For example, it saves the high / low temps and humidity readings for the past 24 hours. I find this capability to be surprisingly useful (e.g., I saw how cold the bedroom got overnight when the heater was turned down, and then used that info to adjust the thermostat accordingly so the bedroom wouldn’t get quite as cold the next night). The 24 hour "clock" can be restarted whenever desired, by simply depressing a button on the front of the unit for a few seconds. And, the unit allows one to also view the "all time" high and low readings since the last battery change, if that information is needed for some reason. Another useful feature is its backlight capability (handy if you want to check the temperature in a dark room without turning on the main light and waking your spouse up). The unit is of a decent size, so the numbers on the display are very easy to read, even from a distance. It has a fold-out stand, so it can be placed in a slightly tilted position for easy viewing on a shelf, counter top, or dresser. In addition, it has a hole on the back for wall mounting, and a pair of magnets so it can be attached to a metal surface (e.g., side of the microwave, refrigerator, metal shelf in a utility closet or bathroom, etc.). To net it all out: the ThermoPro is accurate, does what it is supposed to, and is easy to view and use. I am very happy with my TP55, and would recommend ThermoPro products to anyone.

THE DISPLAY HAS HUGE NUMBERS! Need I tell you how easy is it to read it from across the room? Because if you never struggled with small digits you won't appreciate it but if you had I need not to spell it. Yes, this puppy is amazing. Inch tall or so digits tells you what you need to know without beating about the bushes. THE TOUCH SCREEN Yes, I don't know how many devices of this size have touch screen but even if they do, they lack other features as I must have spent few days searching for a perfect device and this is it! I love how you can touch the screen to change it from F to C and back as you please and the light comes on if you need making the screen gorgeous blue like ocean or the early evening sky.. LIGHT ON /OF TOUCH .. gorgeous blue LED screen ! Yes, all you need is one touch and you can easily find it as it is in the middle of the bottom of the screen and no guess work here. Touch i and the gorgeous blue light as in picture comes up. I really love the fact that they did not lie in the product picture. Do you know how many times we all see product promising nice LED light to the screen and then it comes and it is phew.. meh.. NO, this baby is really what it looks in the picture. Lights come up for few moments for you to see better and then it auto turns off. EASY MOUNT NO tools with a little extra effort on your side. They provide you with mounting but I found easy workaround to put it on any wall without hurting the paint or need for tools. I bought double sided clear tape.. while ANY double sided tape will do and I have no benefit of sharing this I still do because I just love this tape for little jobs when I need to stick a picture to the wall. You can move it about and no trace. IT does not go off with the paint. Who would know.. I wanted one to have there to keep an eye on humidity so this was NOT the purpose but once it is there I noticed I don't need to turn the light on if I just need a quick grab of some item I know where it is but just need a little light. It is just perfect for this! The light comes off in few seconds so no huge use and the three batteries inside seem to lasting. READING IS GOOD AND RELIABLE I am somewhat obsessed with the accuracy of things I buy and so this had to be compared with other devices of other sort to see if it is accurate because what good if it would not be right? So out of few in total that I have ALL of them consistently show accurate temperature and humidity levels . EASY ONE TOUCH switch from C to F and back. TOUCH SCREEN ROCKS! So super easy, the C to F button is on the touch screen in the corner and you can know in the dark where it is if you need it but also you can touch the light and have light up and then you can see even better.. one touch switches to F.. another back to C and so on.. perfect for your European Guests or if you are fluent with both systems. HIGH and LOW is always visible so you can see what was the last high and the last low reading which is helpful if you need to know. Price is reasonable, Quality is superb, Size is perfect, LED Touch screen makes it insanely fabulous, The blue light of the screen makes it dreamy. ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS UNIT! Seek no further. Give it a try... I am glad I had. I love that amazon allows for easy return so I did not marry it but I was so happy when it delivered as promised all the things I was hoping for. Easy install just hang. Size is good, numbers are easy to read. Being able to switch between Celcius and Fahrenheight is cool and easy. A good indoor hygrometer and thermometer.

This is a nice Thermometer for the money. It looks and feels like good quality. It is hot here in the south. I brought the thermometer inside as soon as it was delivered and opened it up. The temperature read 85 on the thermometer, when it was only 74 in the room. It had been sitting in the back of a hot Amazon delivery truck all day, and I assume all the components were heated up. It took around 15-20 minutes (maybe 30) to register the correct room temperature. Now it works fine, but don't expect it to behave like an instant-read thermometer. If you walk into another room that is hotter or cooler than the one you moved from, it will take a few minutes to calculate the correct temperature. I need one in several places. It comes with a built-in stand, or you can hang it. I'm glad I bought it and would recommend it.

Does what it's supposed to. I purchased my first unit 12/2017 and the second 8/2021. One stays in my kitchen at home, and the other is used in an unconditioned well pumphouse. The one in the pumphouse sees temps as low as 30°F in the winter and hasn't had any issues. They don't eat batteries at all either. If these ever fail I'll definitely purchase again. *One thing to note is that I purchased these under the old brand name. I can't speak to if they made any changes (which might impact quality)

It works well, easy to read, and really helps me keep a check on the humidity level (and temperature) in my house. I also like that it shows the high & low humidity for a 24 hour period.

Lo agregué al terrario de mi gecko crestado. Está expuesto a constante humedad media a alta, a veces entrandole agua y enterrado en la tierra. Lleva 4 meses y se borró la tinta un poco pero sigue funcionando y es exacto. Supongo que esto es un dato importante por si tienes dudas de su durabilidad. Si tienes reptiles, dejame decirte que a mi gecko le gusta rascar su carita para soltar muda en las almohadillas traseras que tiene este termometro. Tiene diferentes cortezas de ramas para hacerlo pero por alguna razón siempre recurre a esas almohadillas, supongo que lo descubrió por que le funciona bien. Sinceramente este es el modelo con mas exactitud, hay otros de la misma marca que traen bluetooth y son enteramente inexactos con 2 grados mas o 2 grados menos ( en reptiles esa diferencia de 2 grados es crucial ). En fin, no veo a nadie hablando de este producto para uso de terrarios así que aquí está.

Accurately tracks current humidity and temperature, along with highs and lows over the past 24 hours. Has a large display which is visible from a distance. Please note that the backlight doesn’t stay on for long periods of time (presumed for battery preservation reasons), as the button needs to be pressed to activate this feature, which then automatically turns off after about 15 seconds). It comes with a back stand which flips out so it can sit on an angle (please note, depending on your position of the monitor, this may affect visibility of the numbers (which is standard for LCD displays but should still be kept in mind). It also comes with two magnets in case you want to attach it to your fridge etc. In saying that, it truly is a wonderful tool which allows you to keep track of vital environmental metrics. Highly recommended. A+
