Direct replacement
I have an old house with an original manual garage door. Lost the key to the door and the t handle was also broken so this kit was exactly what I needed. Very rarely do new parts fit so nicely on an old home. There are no directions but it's fairly self explanatory. Everything works together smoothly, the lock doesn't bind when trying to unlock it like some old ones do.

This is a good replacement ! It isn’t as sturdy as the the original was but it works great. FYI- go ahead and shoot some lube in the key slot directly after installing .it was easy to install

Fit my garage door perfectly and the lock works correctly. Very good purchase. Lost my key to the garage door and the opener was not working this was a life saver.

Good replacement
Had a cloplay set that was 30 years old in a couple of doors, the lock didn't work on one side for the last few years. I put these in and they matched up great and worked like new ones should.

For they money....its well worth it!
This kit replaced my whole garage key/lock apparatus.Its exactly what I needed. My outside handle was broken and since them the outside bezel broke and it used to slide around plus we had lost the keys.This kit as a whole worked perfectly.1 issue was the inside handle....the hole was too small for the pin provided in the kit (which I read in another review) ...u could remedy the issue by using a drill bit to ream the hole bigger to accept the thicker pin...OR do what I did and reused the inside handle which the hole for the pin was PERFECTLY sized for. So there u go.Highly recommended!

Replacement for old lock
Easy 10 minute install but I only ended up using the lock cylinder. I have 2 garages on my house and one of them never had the key. After 3 years I finally decided to replace the hardware but didn't realize until I got the kit that I could get away with just the cylinder. So I did just that. It's a Clopay and this worked perfectly. I'll just save the rest of the kit. My main garage is on an electric opener and doesn't need a key so I'm not worried about rekeying.
