I got this set after searching high and low for an apple slicer at local grocers, apparently they don't stock them anymore! The items arrived on time, and are exactly as pictured. The slicer works great, the only improvement it could have is maybe grippy material on the handles to make it more comfortable to hold. Its deceiving because the color makes it look flimsy but it is surprisingly sturdy and strong. I expect to have years of use from this. And if something happens i know this company will do what they can to make me happy. I haven't had a chance to use the accessories but they are very sharp and when i have the opportunity I will update my review. I received this product at a discount for my honest and unbiased opinion.

Got this as a gift

I got this because I was tired of cutting apples the old fashioned way. I mostly wanted the slicer but definitely needed a good peeler. When I first ordered I was worried about the quality since it looks like it is all plastic but they are very well made and very durable. Not once have I worried about them breaking. The stainless steel blade are sharp and cut right through the apples every time without a problem. The vegetable peeler works great and once I wash it the blades turn inside so I can put it in my drawer and not worry about cutting myself accidentally. They are all super easy to use. Food doesn't get stuck or anything, I basically just have to gently wipe and rinse and they are clean.- I was given this item at a discount in exchange for an honest review.

I was thinking about getting the apple divider that Cook's Illustrated liked, the Williams-Sonoma Dial-A-slice. I'm very happy that I got this one instead. (About half the price, too!) Very easy to handle, although it takes some strength, and leaves a perfect core for the squirrels to enjoy. Quick and easy! It hasn't rusted like my previous one, either. Just keep in mind that it has sharp blades. My 7-year old thought she could cut her own apple and got a bit of a nick on her finger. I would not place this in the dishwasher from Apple slicers in the past the dishwasher turns them dull. I have not had a chance to use the peeler. But I do like how the blades pop out and you can keep them out of harms way. I hope I get lots of enjoyment from this set. I must mention theConsKind of flimsyWhile I do really like this set, I did find the items are a little flimsyAll in all it is a great set for the price! This apple corer/slicer comes with larger handles that makes it a lot easier to grip to cut the apple without banging your knuckles or cutting your fingers. It also gives you a better control of the cut. So easy to clean up and stores easily in my drawer with the other 2 peelers. I love the cute peeler/shredder. It is compact and will fit into my back pack as it safely folds into its self. I can make shredded carrots in seconds for a personal salad. I am not used to the peeler with the handle but with practice I know I will be able to master it soon. They are sharp and easy to clean. What more can I ask? These would make a nice gift for anyone.
