The BEST flour for tempura
This cake flour makes the lightest and crispiest tempura on earth. It’s worth every penny and it’s the only flour I’ll use now. The recipe I use is 1 + 1 + 1(cup ice cold water, egg yolk, cup Violet flour). The code date on this flour is short but the bag is also small. I’ve ordered it twice from Amazon and have had no issues using it up within the two month time frame before it goes out of code. I’m assuming the short shelf life must have something to do with it being imported from Japan.
