This book is clearly conceived and cleverly designed. My grandson got it for his 8th bday, opened it and proceeded to go through it page by page, all 160 pages (well, except for the last one, which was Acknowledgments!).He didn't read every page then. But he was hooked enough to check out every one. Took him almost an hour -- and he was too happily fatigued to open his other presents. HA!Definitely young-user friendly. Each continent contains the same kind of maps and info, in the same order. He focused first on the illustrated maps of wildlife, and then landmarks. He's already circling back to less obvious attractions, such as the maps of population density.As a bonus, this book has plenty of intriguing info for any grownups paging along.In fact, my grandson showed it to his favorite naturalists and staffers at the World Bird Sanctuary in St. Louis, which had first sparked his interest in geography. As one of the senior staffers said, as he flipped through it, "I'D like to have this book myself!"

The media could not be loaded. This is a great, educational books for kids. It has over 150 pages of information broken down by continents. It discusses countries, climates, wildlife, oceans just to name a few. Great for a wide variety of ages!

My daughter loves this book. The pages have great, high quality pictures. Lots of interesting and informative facts.

This was bought for our grandson who had recently become interested in geography and what was produced on which continent. This has peaked his interest and inspired him to further his knowledge. The pages are clear and crisp with detailed information on each page. The adults in the family are thoroughly enjoying it as well. It is of good quality and large enough to get a grasp of cities, topography, shorelines, rivers, and islands, with so much more to enjoy. I highly recommend this for anyone from age 10 - adult.

Gift well received

I was really surprised at the quality of this book. It's a Christmas present for a 9 year old and I think he will absolutely love it, especially since he's really into geography. And it seems to offer so much more than just georgraphy!

This was a gift for my 6 year old grandson who is very interested in knowing the countries, rivers, oceans, etc, and this book has been wonderful for him. Not only is he able to teach himself these facts, but there is so much geographical and historical information which will be of benefit as he continues his interest in the world. My son found it to be well organized, beautiful photos, helpful illustrations and very engaging as he was drawn into the book by his son. I highly recommend this for all ages.
