BEST CHOICE ON AMAZON at current $18.99 Price point.I am finding it hard to find time and motivation to provide a complete review, so I'll hit a few high spots and expand later.1. Background-Retired multi-discipline electronic/computer product/system Developmemt Engineer. I have been using Pulse Oximeters due to COPD issues for about 20 years and have owned about 6 different brands/models.2. Reason to Purchase-I recently became aware of a long-known heart condition that increased in frequency. The main symptom is an erratic pulse rate as measured by pulse rate devices. (Fingertip, watch, blood pressure cuff). I had 2 main pulse-oximeters (including a Wellue PC-60FW) and 2 other backups/During this time of multi-device comparisons, the PC-60FW attempted a suicide leap off the table and this time sustained significant damage, I managed to repair the device including gluing the sensor back in. It apparently worked fine, but I had some lingering doubts about reliability of reading under my current additional marginal conditions.3. In searching options on Amazon of most all venders & models Including considering repurchase of Wellue PC-60FW (See my 6/2/22 1 year review for more info on this option). I found the Wellue POD-1W buried and well hidden in the search menu, after careful review I chose the POD-1W over all the other choices. According to the Wellue Store Site the POD-1W is the replacement for PC-60FW.SO FAR, I am very well pleased with my choice and definitely recommend it as the best and most cost-effective choice on Amazon as long as the price point is $20 0r less. What I RECEIVED appears to be a hybrid of the POD-1W and PC-60FW. The packaging and accessories were the same as my original PC-60FW with a different glue on label. The box contained manuals for the PC-60FW & POD-1W. The housing is for the POD-1W as shown in the product listing descriptions. The display and assumedly electronic instrumentation are as shown and described in documentation for the PC-60FW. After further review I realized the display I received was as shown in the description. This should make me a happy camper; I had some potential concerns with the POD-1W display as originally shown.(Again, reference my 6/22 1-year product review) All of my CONS related to the style, quality, and feel of the housing. The POD-1W housing resolves most of my issues. It is definitely more stylistic. Being willing to take out in public is a strong enough issue in my opinion to replace the PC-60FW with the POD-1W. The new housing appears much smaller than the older, but they are exactly the same size. The flowing style and rounded curves are a great improvement. The Battery cover has been changed from a simple slip in pressure fit finger to a more substantial 3 point/dual end locking mechanism, providing a more secure and easier to operate cover latch. It has thinner less substantial plastic so it may need time to see if a future issue develops; it has already lasted longer than the POD-60FW battery cover did.The finger slot is still referred to as "Rubber Cushion" in the POD-1W manual, but the reference has been removed in the PC-60FW manual supplied with this unit. IT is however very slick plastic not the rough plastic as before. The POD-1W does however provide a more comfortable secure fit. So far, I have not had any drops/flying flings with the 1W. Hopefully, it will stay this way when the weather turns colder, and fingers become drier. 9/13/22 Update. It has now slipped off my finger several times, NO Friction at all. Doing minor damage from a very short falls. Housing comes apart and is very difficult to snap back together, there is still part around the finger hole that did not snap back completely. For now, I will not change the ratings; but the Pod 1W is likely to move from primary use to back up if the problem gets worse as the weather gets colder. The settings/alarm cancel button is blended in stealth view. Looks beautiful but needs to be found from memory, not vision or feel.Operation, reliable reading under adverse conditions, and blue tooth operation/logging are covered in previous PC-60FW review with no noted differences. My opinion is the Wellue units are slightly better choices for my use than other comparable units from other vendors. One big secret(?) is most all these units use the same measuring technology and components. The only substantial difference between vendors and models is the housing and display. This includes the units in use at most Dr offices. In my opinion "It matched/was off the reading at my Dr office" is not a valid consideration. My Primary Care Doctor usually uses my device reading to check her device accuracy.Have noted this unit (with a different brand & model) now seems to be available from another source apparently the original manufacturer.

Accurate, easy to use.
I tested this pulse oximeter against another I own. They generally agree (there was up to a 3 point variability in SpO2 and up to a 5 bpm difference that I observed). I like that the case feels sturdy and where your finger is placed is smooth. I also appreciated the inclusion of a bag to store the oximeter in. I won't use it often, so can remove the batteries but still keep them handy this way.The instructions are easily understood (a minimum of errors, at least in English), and are provided in English, German, Italian, Spanish, and French. I haven't used the mobile application, so can't comment on that aspect.I really like the memory feature with this oximeter; if I were using this to keep track of readings over time or needed to show my care provider, that feature would be useful. I can see this coming in handy the next time someone in my family falls ill. For the price point, this is a great addition to a medical kit.

Very accurate heartrate monitor.
I have checked the pulse oximeter with the EKG monitor they have us wear when doing cardiac rehab. It is right on with the EKG in terms of beats per minute. I use it to make sure my workout heart rate is where it needs to be during exercise and then to monitor the cooldown phase. I highly recommend this inexpensive, but very accurate monitor.

It works
Not sure it's accurate. When compared to apple watch and another o2 sat monitor this always reads lower.

Works well without the app... will store the history with the app...
I ordered this as I liked the one that I got for my mother. It takes standard 2@AA batteries. There is no need to hit a button to activate it as it automatically senses when there is a finger inserted. Likewise, it turns off almost immediately after removing your finger. The little screen measures your pulse and you SPO2 levels. It is a good guide to detect issues as you age or when working out. The screen also displays a rough graph of pressure based on pulse... this helps you to realise any issues with your heartbeat correlated to pressure as the graph should be constantly repeating in the same shapes. The device itself has a built-in memory, though there seems to be no way to import independent readings into the app.The app is very basic... it wants access to all the data for company use though. It basically just tracks the data on the monitor when it is open and the monitor is running. To pair the device, you must open the app first and then let it find the device. If you pair it to your phone's bluetooth, the app will not work with it. The app will show you your history by day, and trends by week, month, and year. It also plots a chart for the current reading in real-time on its dashboard. It seems to be able to add multiple devices and allow their selection... as well as allowing you to setup an online account for sharing your device readings with other users (presumably family or friends) that you can add by email address. After many readings the device is still showing 100% battery. The readings are continuous for as long as a finger is inserted; whereas, my mother's takes a reading intermittently over the time that it is worn. At about 27USD this seems to be a good value... even if you are not going to use the app. I am rating this four stars. As always, your mileage and preferences may vary...

Bluetooth connects!
They fixed it. The last 2 that I bought a year ago failed after a short time or just would not connect. This one is easy to connect and hopefully will keep on working

I wanted to be able to check my oxygen level after I had pneumonia and spent a couple of days in the hospital. It appears accurate
