Only gripe I have about this product is that I cannot get it to boot directly. I have a workaround for this though. In windows, just search for 'Change advanced startup options' and then hit 'restart now' under Advanced Setup and then click UEFI USB on the screen after that and you're all set

It’s not too terrible if you’re somewhat tech savvy, but definitely don’t expect this to be no fuss plug and play. Some glitches. A bit of a sound issue in many games. Some controls are a bit funky in some of the games. But all in all great for nostalgia.

I can appreciate the delivery on a 2.5" laptop drive, it's cheap and it works. The collection contained therein was pretty decent, I got what I was hoping for aside from a few strange omissions.

Garbage. Drive barely works. No where near the speed advertised and most of files are corrupted or just garbage.

I attempted to make this on my own using an external drive and downloading Batocera. But I lost patience and I’m not computer literate enough so I just bought this instead. Basically this is plug and play. It comes with easy instructions to get started. There are a ton of old games but many are just duplicates. I bought this so I could play the games I grew up with (NES, N64, GBA). Newer games like GameCube tend to lag a bit but I think it’s probably more of the hardware (computer) you choose to use instead of this hard drive. You can open the Batocera files and delete some games if you’d like. Overall, I’m pretty happy with this. For this price and what it has to offer, it’s worth it.

Using it on a very old Intel Mac (late 2013 MacBook Pro) and works great. As long as you can boot from an external drive, it ought to do fine. One caveat--had a hard time getting a lot of USB gamepads to work. None of my 8bitdo controllers would allow me to start any games, although I could scroll between. The only one I have that works--and I have a lot--is a Logitech G F310 wired unit. Since I've only used it on an old Mac, I can't tell you if it would work better on a unit manufactured for Windows only. My guess is it would. Great selection of games, great value. easy to use and a so much fun !

Returned mine, Essentially you are buying a used 500gb hdd for 40$ with roms and the emulator o.s. Lots of repeats, lots of retro games you might of lost in a fire. My ran then couldn't get it to work after. Had to factory reset my laptop. Great deal if you get a hdd thats isn't on its last leg, and avoid running their O.S. No sure how i feel about using used hdd from random amazon sellers.

You can watch it on tv and laptop as well plus there are many free movies and games there
