Orbit 55179 Saturn IV Gear-Drive Rotor Water Sprinkler with Nozzle Rack

I absolutely love this sprinkler head! I started by purchasing one, along with a couple Orbit "watermasters" and some Rainbird units. This has become by far my favorite rotary sprinkler head, without rival. As a first time homeowner it was daunting to navigate the available offerings in this market. Locally, I only am able to purchase Rain Bird rotary sprinkler heads, which I utilized to help cover areas that my stationary components couldn't cover. Unfortunately I had many issues with those units breaking within one season or requiring higher pressure to function than available in my system. I thankfully inherited some Orbit sprinkler heads which have been much more resilient and easier to set up. At first I was confused when this sprinkler head arrived as it must be adjusted with the included tool rather than a flathead screwdriver like the units I was used to. I quickly came to actually prefer this design as the tool, similar to an allen wrench fits securely as you make adjustments. I may just be clumsy but found that my flatheads would often slip. This sprinkler also comes with 7 nozzles (1 installed, 6 additional) for various ranges, rates of flow, and pressure. This has been a godsend for someone with a very low-pressure system. I am able to cover a larger area by utilizing a low-pressure nozzle and running the system a bit longer.

1/2" sprayers only go about 15' maximum. Orbit 55069 Saturn III Gear-Drive Rotor Water Sprinkler fits 1/2" connection and adjusts to about 25' of throw. A simple changeout of underrated sprinklers has turned our dried portions of yard to rich, green, and watered. The sprinklers adjust for up to 360 degree coverage. The spray pattern is also adjustable and can fan out and throw short with no problem.

Orbit underground sprinklers have been a part of my lawn irrigation system for 15 years. Easy to install and maintain. Met or exceeded all my expectations.

Not a fan of this sprinkler. The coverage is pretty good but at 40psi I can get any distance regardless of what nozzle I use

Would not recommend. They seem to require very high water pressure barely a trickle comes out of them even with only one on the line. Took the filter out and this improved it from a trickle to a dribble, very disappointed.

Ho acquistato questo irrigatore perchè dalle caratteristiche avrebbe risolto i miei problemi di irrigazione del giardino. Così è stato , attacco standard e facilità di regolazione , funziona bene. Prezzo ragionevole.

I use Orbit sprinklers professionally and privately. In this case I mowed off a sprinkler head and replaced it with this one. Even the new one looked slightly different it worked perfect. I just unscrewed the broken one off the housing and unscrewed the new one off the housing and but the new one in the old housing, without digging etc. Fits and worked perfect. Very happy with the product and happy with Orbit over all, which also includes there timers.
