POWERTEC 70183 4” 45 Degree Elbow - ABS Plastic Dust Collector Connector (Black)

Used in my table saw to extend the dust collector output. Fits good and tight. I’m a happy woodworker now.

This is sized the same as most 2-1/2 inch dust collection ports found on many consumer woodworking tools. Shop vac hose sizing is all over the place so it may or may not work for your application. I wanted to add a magnetic hose connection fitting to my bandsaw, but the motor was in the way. Using this coupling with rubber couplers made this doable. Coupler is compact which is nice, but as a result the 45 deg angle bend is sharp. If I had more space it would have been nice to use something with a bit of a sweep in it to not hurt air flow quite as much. Over all well made and did exactly what I wanted.

Works exactly as advertised. Connects to my Dewalt 735 Planar and 4" hose routed to my dust collector. BONUS - now I can route the hose away from the planars exit table....which is why I bought this puppy! DOUBLE BONUE - Since it is clear, I can tell immediately if there is any blockage in the planar. I will definitely buy this again when it is time to update my table saw.

If you are like me, you have conjured up more than one blue fog when dealing with "4-inch" fittings for your dust collection system. It's as if "4-inch" is just a suggestion. That said, if you give up and use a rubber 4" inch connector you can make most anything fit to most anything this. With a rubber connector, this elbow works really well at the intake port of my wall mounted dust collector, keeping the hose from kinking and clogging. Doesn't take up much room, the dust and chips flow better, the hose is happy, and so am I.

My purpose for these was unusual, I was using them for a clear tube hot wheels track. While the elbows are sturdy, well-built, and sufficient quality and clarity, they did not meet my need because there was an unfortunate small ridge on the inside of each elbow that caused the Hot Wheel cars to flip upside down every time they went through the curve. These would be great for use in their intended purpose such as a vacuum setup, so I've rated them 5-stars as if they had been used for that purpose.

So, let me lead with saying I have no idea what this was actually intended for by the manufacturer. All I know is I needed a 4 inch "nominal" diameter object to connect from the intake of a 1997 F250 7.3L to a NAPA 6637 filter because I leaned too hard on the stock intake box and broke the plastic (thereby ruining that whole "seal" thing that supposed to happen to prevent dust from getting sucked into the engine.) I visited the hardware store first and came up with a few mediocre solutions with PVC fittings that would... work... then saw this. For less money, this solves the problem by actually fitting (OD of the truck's fittings was about 4 1/4, ID about 3 7/8 - this fits in the ID with a little bit of give that you can clamp down on with a 4" hose clamp on either end). Again, don't know what this thing was SUPPOSED to be fore, but it sure does do a great job as a cheap intake pipe for my truck :-)

Was bought for a DeWalt 735 to change the airflow direction for dust collection. It fit okay.

I'm so used to dealing with a 4 inch dust removal system I was taken aback at how small this 90 degree elbow was. It was like a toy. But, it seems well made and worked well for putting a 90 degree bend off of my planer dust removal port. I like the fact that is is clear so I can see the dust being removed and see how efficient it is. I would buy again.

Very good quality elblow, but does not fit directly on Vevor cyclone separators (too large). This is not a negative on the item, but rather that the Vevor product is better fitted with self-supporting (internal coil) hoses directly.

Product quality is good.
