They are fine, especially for the price.
This is a great deal for the amount of candles you get. They are quite short, so keep that in mind. The wicks are a little weird: when I light one, the wick just burns up and disappears, and then I have to hold my lighter on the end of the candle for about 30 seconds trying to melt the wax enough to expose more wick and get it to light. But then it stays lit fine and burns even. You won't get a bright flame, so not the best to read by, but okay of you don't mind being very close to it and angling the book toward the flame. I don't mind it and appreciate the great deal but I think I'll get different candles next time. I prefer to read by candlelight before going to sleep because candlelight doesn't mess with your circadian rhythm.
