Review: Mat Set becomes brittle due to bad weather..... - The mat set of 10 was quite effective in repelling the local cats, BUT be aware that after having been exposed to bad English weather conditions the plastic had become extremely brittle and the "spikes" very easily broke off, so the mat set became less effective. Hence my rating of four stars only.

**Q: how wide is this?**
A: 11 inches

**Q: My dog scratches the interior doors of our house.  Could I hang this on the door with command strips to make it uncomfortable?**
A: I think it would work! you could cut the mat into the size you need and use the command strips to secure it! It's a great idea and worth a try!

**Q: Will it hurt if adults walk on it with good shoes on?  Can't keep neighbors' cats away from my front steps.**
A: These are not designed for foot traffic. The plastic spikes are very stiff and yes you can walk on them. I use this around a tree that requires regular weeding and found this product effective. My neighbor cut in smaller squares to keep feral cats off patio furniture, again very effective.

**Q: It states it’s 12 in by 7 in by 7 in then that not the roll picture. 12 inches is just a foot of material. That is the correct measurements?**
A: The roll is much longer than 12 inches. I did not measure my roll but i would guess that it was 6 feet long. I cut sections out of this and covered a large planter with two rolls. Saved the area from cats and squirrels.

Very well made, but a little expensive as I need more than ten, but can't really afford it. Hoping it keeps the cats from messing on my lawn ... I've tried everything else on the market!
