Works great for us- love having the option to use our phone
There was a short period of time we were having issues with the app and cameras linking due to an update that occurred. Once that was figured out, we have had really great luck using them. Having wi-fi monitors isn't a concern for us due to where we live. Having the option to pull it up on our phone versus having to use the monitor is great, especially when we are away from the house. It is also nice to have the talk feature, be able to take pictures, and play music. We have one camera set up in our baby room and toddler room. It's also nice to be able to turn on certain notifications such as sound or movement depending on which camera you are using.

Didn’t last a year!
Bought on July 2025, the cameras worked great but the connectivity to the monitor not the best, always lost connection if over 15-20 meter away (in enclosed space with walls here and there). Also the small plastic in the back to keep it stand still is crappy, if the monitor is not standing on completely flat rock solid, it will fall down or lose balance which will make you crazy if you wanna put it on your sofa etc.. Last but not least, theres 2 APPs and the one that was available in my “region” didn’t support this monitor, I need to go through the trouble to create an US Apple account and download it from US region, which is ridiculous. The reason I wrote this review is, 2 months ago the monitor already started to have issues with the charging port and it broke, I found some creative fix to somehow let it charge. but now the monitor completely died and It’s refuse to turn on anymore, didn’t last a year. Very disappointed from vTech quality, previously I bought Babysense old camera model and the connectivity was fine as hell. But I wanted to update for WiFi option + 2 cameras split. Do yourself a favor, find another option!

LOVE LOVE LOVE! Two camera 7” monitor (RM7764-HD2)
We are so impressed and happy with our new 2 camera 7” monitor (RM7764-2HD). We previously had a single camera vtech baby monitor (VM901) that we loved but now we are expecting our second child and wanted to have two cameras. I wish we would’ve just bought this one in the first place. As I was doing research for two camera monitors, I first came across the Babysense 5.5” 1080p Full HD Split-Screen Baby Monitor that had great reviews and purchased that. We were unimpressed with the camera quality and monitor quality. Everything felt very cheap. We hated it didn’t have the ability to turn off the screen and sound and “wake up” when it hears sound. Our son is a noisy sleeper so the first night we used it we slept terribly because the monitor was constantly on. We then purchased the Vetch RM7764-2HD and we love it! Here is why… Large screen: so the 7inch screen is big and I felt a little silly at first feeling like I was using a mini iPad… But this monitor has the capability of doing a split screen with both cameras, so the larger screen is nice to be able to see both kids at the same time. It also does PatrolMode, where it switches to each camera every like 10-15 seconds. Excellent quality: the camera quality comes in super crystal clear. Both the cameras and monitor have a nice way to them and feel very high-quality. Radio signal and optional app/wifi: this was a big feature for us. When we are at home, we do not like the idea of people being able to hack into our monitors so we like to just use the monitors radio signal to connect. But when we are on vacation, it’s really nice to enable the app. We recently went down to Mexico and had our son set up in our bedroom and then went up on the rooftop using the Wi-Fi signal so we were able to monitor him from afar. Also we had babysitters we didn’t know super well for dinner one night, so I was able to use the app to view the monitor at dinner and check in and it really eased my mind. Screen Off Timer: this is huge! Screen off timer turns the screen fully off and only turns back on once it hears sounds. Instead of just being on the entire night. My husband and I are both light sleepers and my son moves around and makes sounds throughout the night so this is the most important feature for us. Like I said in the beginning, we purchased a monitor that didn’t have this feature and the monitor was on all night and we slept terribly. Overall, if you plan on having more than one child, I would highly recommend buying this monitor!

Don’t bother with the cheaper brands
My husband and I learned the hard way that sometimes it’s worth it to spend the extra dollar for the good brand! We initially ordered a very similar dual monitor from Hello Baby and quickly returned it and replaced it with this one. We used a vtech monitor with our first baby and loved it, just didn’t want to spend the money upgrading to a split screen. The quality is worth the price, period. Great camera quality, zooms up to 8x, clear picture in light and dark modes, and we love having the ability to rotate the cameras from the parent unit. 10/10!

DO NOT BUY, Sound detection does not work, customer service terrible
Very disappointed in this monitor. We ended up purchasing as a dual monitor with the arrival of our second child. First, we have intermittent connectivity issues in which the signal from the camera drops to the parent handheld. However, that does not occur frequently and could also be due to the strength of our WiFi signal. The second issue is the sound sensitivity. In our infant’s room the parent module will not register her cries. Therefore, the only time we have heard her cries have been when we have woken up and heard her from down the hall. These aren’t small or quiet cries either, she can cry very loudly and the sound won’t come through. There are times where this does work and register small sounds she may make, but it is very inconsistent. Then, after about a week of using this monitor, the camera screen goes black. This does not happen with the camera for my other child’s room. When the camera does work, I do like the image quality and ease of use of the parent handheld. I also like the ability to view from either my cell phone or the parent handheld. We have contacted customer support for these issues, however in the meantime I cannot advise any parent to purchase this monitor. The entire purpose is so that I can hear my children in the night to be alerted to their needs, as well as see them, and it does not do that. Update: contacted customer service via email. It took them 4 business days to respond (with an automated response stating it should take only 1-2 business days to receive a response). Then, once I received a response, there was a request for 8 items of information complete with photo proof of our purchase and serial numbers on each of the cameras and the monitor. I immediately submitted this information, and now I have yet to hear from anyone for approximately a week. I have sent follow-up emails as well. At this point, I do not even want a warranty replacement, but a full refund. However, I have little hope for this as reading the fine-print under the warranty information from their website that it doesn’t seem that refunds are an option. For this terrible customer service, I cannot recommend this company. For the poor function of the device, I cannot recommend this item. Update #2: Finally was able to speak with a Vtech representative. If you call their customer support line, many of the phone trees end in a "dead end" of sorts in which you are not able to be connected with an actual representative. The only person I was able to connect through to speak with about the defective device was through the sales hotline as if I was going to purchase a new device. Eventually, he informed me that since my device was purchased through Amazon, I needed to pursue my complaint with amazon. Unfortunately, in my chats with Amazon, they referred me back to Vtech customer support as I am outside of the 30 day return window with Amazon. Overall, simply put- I cannot recommend this device to any parent. There are very clear safety concerns with such a defective device, and customer support has been impossible to communicate with and have not been assistive. I have never had such issues like this with any device or with customer service before. Please learn from my issues and keep browsing for another device that is worth your near $200 investment.

Issues with video quality at night
After having this monitor system for a year im starting to look at buying a new one. It has a great camera for daytime view but nighttime is grainy and has a limited range of motion so that I can't see the whole room. The speaker function is awful, half the time my daughter can't understand what im saying and it functions like a walkie talkie (which may be normal im not sure) so if im talking and she says something i cant hear her. We basically only use the app on our phones and the saved videos are terrible it only saves maybe 5-10 seconds after movement but it takes FOREVER to load updated videos. For example, today is January 14th and everytime I tried to look at the saved videos from today to see when I put my daughter down for her nap it continues to show me videos from January 1st which cant even be accessed because they are too old. I closed the app multiple times before it finally loaded the new videos and it's the same on my husband's phone. I wanted to like this monitor so much because it was great it came with a physical monitor for when we have a babysitter but the quality just isn't there.

Great product, other than the battery that dumps after 15 months of use.
It's a pretty good camera. Sometimes there are connection issues that are usually resolved by unplugging cameras and restarting the base unit. This is my second vtech monitor system (I'm on my second kid too), and just like the first one, the battery on the base unit has gone to less than a quarter of its original capacity in 15 months of operation. That is "conveniently" just three months more than what the warranty will cover, which is just one year. I love that is has the ability to watch/listen through the base station as well as connect through our smart phones so I think the system is totally worth it. It's just kind of unfortunate that vtech continues to make these products with bad batteries going on four years now.

Awesome baby monitor
This is an awesome baby camera. I’ve been using it for some time now, so my review is based on actual experience. I previously had another VTech single-camera model (VM919HD) with a 7” display and no WiFi, but this one is much better. First of all, you get two cameras. You can monitor them using the included screen or through the VTech app on your mobile device. The resolution and picture quality are significantly better than the non-WiFi model. There is a slight delay in video transmission, but that’s expected—my previous non-WiFi camera had a similar delay. I use mesh WiFi with full coverage throughout my apartment, and I haven’t noticed any transmission cuts. However, if you use a single WiFi router and have areas with weak signal, the non-WiFi version might suit your needs better since it uses radio signals. The parent unit and cameras come with 100–240V adapters, so they can be safely used in Europe and other countries with higher voltage. You’ll just need to purchase a plug adapter separately for your country. I also bought a flexible mounting clip for the baby bed separately—just search for “flexible baby clip for VTech RM7764 camera.” The parent unit’s battery holds up well. The movement, sound level, and temperature alerts are very useful and sensitive. One downside I found is that the back leg of the parent unit is very small and only works on flat surfaces such as a table. If you try to place it on a couch or carpet, the leg doesn’t support the parent unit well. Overall, I’m very satisfied!

It's good, when it working properly
Everything works well for a week, then 1 of the camera just stopped working. Unable to reset or pair the camera. To pair the camera, have to hold the pair button till there's beeping sound, but it doesn't work. So now I hv 1 camera as a dead paperweight.

The display unit *DOES NOT USE YOUR WIFI* to connect to the cameras
The display unit *DOES NOT USE WIFI*. The manuals you find online are older products - the display unit talks to the cameras on a proprietary network with normal range. You can additionally make the cameras connect to wifi, but the physical display unit cant talk over your wifi - you need a phone. Additionally, the app does not really work on iPad. This is extremely unclear (and a rubbish design) - makes it not good for what we wanted. Additionally, it all shows up with a proprietary power socket that has US plugs so you need adapters to even turn it on in the UK - a shame when USB-C is a thing.
