Good item
I ordered the ear plugs and case for the ear plugs along with this neckcord. I've used them bird hunting and they work great. I can still speak with people but I don't get stung when a hunting buddy takes a shot. I feel like I'm doing something good for myself and good for my future hearing! If I had to come up with one negative, they may be too short for some people, personally they work fine for me. I can take one of the ear plugs out of my ear and let it drop without having to worry about losing it. I have also unscrewed these from the ear plugs once when I wanted to use them without the cord. Nice product

Best I've found
These were my first attempt at molding custom ear plugs. I've tried lots and lots of different foam, silicone and other types of ear protectors but none were either good enough to really block out noise or were not comfortable enough to wear all day. I see many shooters wearing these and decided it was time to try them out. I am glad that I did. I read the reviews of others to get molding tips and then I made them. They worked just as they were described. Read the instructions, divide the putty into equal parts (I just visually rolled them into a sphere and then used a knife to just cut down the middle). The cured properly and they block noise very well. I wore them all day long with no issues shooting or working. I screwed the ear plug anchors into each side and viola--a great product. Color coded so no confusion about left or right ear. I would highly recommend these.

Excellent but not cheap for what they are.
Very good for the Radian plugs. Expensive for what they are, but they do a good job on the range. In matches it's necessary to hear a description of the course of fire, and this allows you to remove one to listen without having to keep track of the plug. I can see also that the cord will greatly outlast the earplugs, so you can reuse this with later plug moulds.

Shaky design and quality control = significant risk of losing your custom ear plug
Clever idea; plastic screw works well. Like others, I almost lost one plug when the cord slipped out of the plastic tube that's suppose to anchor the ends. After a lot of struggle, got it all put back and realized there was very little tension squeezing the cord ends together. Seems to be heat shrink tubing, so I carefully heated it in a match flame and pressed it snuggly against the cord. That fixed it! Three weeks later, the other end let go and I almost lost the other ear plug! Since these complaints are not widespread, I assume I got a bad set. You might want to tug gently on your ends to see the string is securely fastened before screwing them into your plugs.

Screws on a string, but they work great.
I purchased this to go with the Radians custom molded earplugs so as not to lose them after they were molded to my ears. This is a relatively uncomplicated product: a string with two plastic screws on the ends. I put the red in the right ear so I could quickly recognize [R]ed goes to [R]ight. I had no issue screwing them into the earpieces after they were set. I would recommend doing after they have been removed from your ear during the initial molding, but before they have cured for a few hours for the best [theoretical] hold.

for my dog
My dog is my blind partner during the duck season and for the past couple of years had picked up ear infections from being in the water. After paying almost $2,000 for the last infections vet and prescription bills I decided I needed to be proactive in protecting his ears. I bought this simple kit, one @ for each dog ear, and took it to my vet for fitting. My vet used a quick working anesthesia to knock him out, trimmed the surrounding ear hair and inserted the putty. A dogs ear has many channels and protrusions, so the most important thing is to get the putty under a lobe that locks it in place. I cut the neck cord in half and left about 4 inches attached to each screw. I actually molded the screw into the putty as opposed to screwing it in as it requires a bit more effort to remove the plug from a dogs ear. Also I bought a red plug for one ear and a blue plug for the other so that I would not get them mixed. After waking him up my dog quickly became used to the plugs and my dog has had no water infections since I began using them. I would think this should be a great answer for dogs that suffer from ear problems from swimming pools and for that matter little kids as well.

As advertised
pushed the entire plastic screw into the earplug as it was setting in my ear. If you have some of the material set behind the disc, I don't think this will every come out. The plastic sleeve holding the neckcord together eventually fails you, just cut it off, tie a knot, and then GLUE the knot together, and all your life's problems will be solved. If not installed in my ears, I tie and overhand knot to wrap these around my neck and these bad boys went through my entire internship no problem.
