What light!
These downlights are extremely easy to install and are very bright compared with previously installed LED downlights. Most important of all, they are wide beam and spread brightness everywhere.

Very good but…
These smart-looking, shallow recessed lights aren’t particularly bright, at 580 lumens (similar to a 40W incandescent, maybe 50W), but that’s ok, given six in the box. And I really like being able to select the colour temperature before installing. Installation couldn’t be simpler, assuming the mains wiring is in place. Cut a hole, connect live and neutral (no earth required but of course ensure earth continuity isn’t broken) and push the fitting up into the hole, holding the springs back as you do so. Now on to the bad news. They need bigger than usual cut-outs, which could be a problem in the future. That’s because the LEDs aren’t replaceable. They’ll probably last many years but, if one does fail prematurely, you’ll have to replace the entire fitting and will probably struggle to find a matching replacement, so may have to buy six new ones. At the price of these, that isn’t too big a deal, except for the big holes you’ve cut in the ceiling. You’ll have to find something that works with those holes or needs bigger holes still. They should last many years, if installed where they’re little used. Or you could consider buying more than you need and keeping a couple as spares. I’m relaxed about where I've installed them, with four on the landing and two spares. The stairwell lighting lights the landing, so these will rarely be switched on and should last as long as I do. If you can do something similar, you’ll be fine with them. I wouldn't install them anywhere as primary lighting though.

Gute Leuchten und guter Service
Bereits zwei Mal die Einbauleuchten 230V 7W als 6-er-Pack gekauft. Die Leuchten sind leicht zu installieren und am Gehäuse lassen sich 3 Lichtfarben einstellen (warmweiß, neutral oder kaltweiß). Die Garantie beträgt im Standard 3 Jahre und lässt sich mit einer Registrierung und der App auf 4,5 Jahre erweitern. Bei Problemen reagiert der Support erfreulich kooperativ; das ist mittlerweile nicht selbstverständlich und ich kann den Service nur loben!

In kürzester Zeit sind 3 von 8 Strahler kaputt. Langlebigkeit ist auf keinen Fall gegeben.

Super Leuchten für wenig Geld
Super finde ich die einfache Verstellung der Farbtemperatur an einem kleinen Schiebeschalter. Da die Strahler für 7Watt unglaublich hell sind, haben wir uns für die mittleren 3000° Celvin entschieden, da diese bei weitem hell genug und trotzdem recht warm ist. Das Design ist sehr flach und ein ganz dünner Rahmen, der allerdings mit kleinen dunklen Flecken nicht perfekt ist. Normal müsste man dafür 1* abziehen, aber direkt an der Decke und nur ca 2-3 mm Dicke sieht man das von "unten" nicht. Wir haben in unserer kleinen Küche mit 6x7=42 Watt jetzt jedenfalls ein super Licht gegenüber vorher 6x35= 210 Watt Halogen. Und keine 2 Trafos für 12V mehr, von denen nämlich einer defekt war und den Wechsel anstieß.
