Best for elders
Very pleased I did a well researched b4 buying and I’m grateful I found it. This is the best it’s strong and the metal belt holder is perfect it hold in position and it’s very durable.

Great Product!
We got this for our 11 year old son with DMD. We first bought the one without the leg straps and did not like it. It always moved around and became very uncomfortable for him. We saw the one with the leg straps and decided to give it a try. The leg straps really help keep the belt in place and makes the lifting a carrying process much more comfortable for those lifting and those being lifted. We used it throughout our trip at Disneyland and was a huge success. It worked perfectly and it was a lifesaver when one of the rides broke down after we left the platform. We were able to lift our son out of the cart and get him safely back in to his power chair. The only downfall we found was the leg straps are a little difficult to adjust, but once you get used to it, it gets easier. We would definitely recommend this product to anyone with mobility and/or gait issues. It saved my back and made our trip much easier and comfortable for all.

Will not ride up the patient's torso
A well made device to help moving patients Easier I have other gait belts without the leg straps And they do ride up the patient's torso so the leg loops are absolute necessity and a patient that has a lot of difficulty walking Such as mine does The one thing I would improve if anything is I would make the loops to hold on to slightly larger I have small hands and I could barely get them into the loops to hold on to they are nicely padded but I think if they're a little larger than be able easier to work with It is a well made device with no slippage At the Buckle And the quick Release on the leg straps is a plus if the patient needs to use the toilet Over all I recommend this device

Works well
It works well. The instructions were not complete, but I was able to figure it out.

Difficult to put on
This is a solid product. My mother has Parkinson's and it was very difficult to put the straps on her legs. I could only do it if she was standing and it is a challenge to have her stand, she can't really support herself, so that required 2 people to be able to fasten the legs.

Very good value, very well made
Very sturdy, good quality, no pinch points or rough edges where you don’t expect. Handles are constructed to feel ergonomic in a way that is easy to grip for transfers. Makes transferring easier even on my bad arthritis days. The leg straps are nice but tricky to adjust most of the time it’s not used but it’s nice to have the extra security if we go out and I need to feel a little safer transferring in and out of a vehicle. They do help hold the belt in place and keep from rotating around if adjusted properly

Seller Delivered - Product Didn't
The belt was delivered promptly. However, I strongly recommend against buying this product. The webbing used on the belt is coarse, rough and stiff. The "quick-release" snaps used on the leg straps are just plain awful. They make the length of the leg straps almost impossible to adjust. Also, if there's any tension on the snaps, they're incredibly hard to release. (I got a blood blister on each thumb trying to get them off.) And lastly, if the leg straps are adjusted to keep the belt from rising when the user is standing, they'll likely be too tight for the user to sit down.

Great support gate belt
This belt is great. But it’s more for a taller person. My sister who I bought it for is only 4 foot 6. What I ended up doing is putting a knot in the back leg strap. So when PT held on to it it wouldn’t go up under her breast. I bought this because with a gate belt way she was shaped would end up under her under arms. They would also pull on her jeans and she would end up with the worst wedgie ever. PT ladies and guys loved it and think it’s an assume way to hold onto the patient. When you put it on. Make sure straps are in crease of leg and hip. Doesn’t hurt that way. I put it on and played with it to see how to do it with my sister. She has downs and can’t tell me if it hurts or not. Had my husband lift me up with it to make sure how it worked and feels. I would recommend this belt for those that need a lot of support and can’t help those teaching them to walk.
