The angle of the cable relative to the connector is strange, but good in my case. If you are inserting this into a boom mic handle, you may need to rotate the connection so that the cable protrudes outward (or inward, as your needs dictate). Solid build with a clean signal.

Okay, the cable comes out of the plug at 3 o'clock or 9 o'clock relative to the top of the triangle formed by the 3 pins. That may be what you are looking for. But it's supposed to be "rotatable". I unscrewed the barrel and found that the plastic chassis inside only has ONE SLOT for the cable to go through, so the the only adjustment you can make is very slight. You can't flip from 3:00 to 9:00. You can adjust only a few degrees either way. It's cheap and works for my purposes, so I'll grade it in comparison to something like Kondor Blue (which I have a feeling I should have paid the extra $$ for).

Indispensable when managing short mixer board connections

Works great for a small pedal board! I’m using 2 of them for my Quad Cortex board. I did receive one that was bad quality and had to send back, but the others were good.

This is a great compact XLR connector that’s about half the length when plugged in. This, along with the wire coming out from the side, makes it useful when you’re tight on space. It’s also a lot cleaner looking and I’m using it for my audio interface so the standard XLR connector doesn’t stick out from the front so much. You can adjust it to position where the wire points out from as well. No drop in audio quality and build quality seems decent.

Perfect for pairing with the shotgun mic on my Sony FX6 camera. Awesome to be able to rotate the cable position so it can fit into the XLR port easily.
