Review: Near impervious! - I use this item in an unconventional manner on a daily basis. It's used to heat up coffee and then immediately afterward heat up cold cream to put in it. Because of the beaker's ability to handle extreme temperature differences rapidly, it's ideal for my purposes. I've used it dozens of times and taken it from scalding hot to freezing cold with no effect. It's near impervious! Ordinary glass containers would have shattered using it in this manner. Trust me I've tried!

**Q: Are the graduation markings painted or etched?**
A: The set I purchased in 2017 is etched. None of the markings ever wore and the one I just broke (my fault, not the beaker's) I just pulled from the trash and went to town on the graduations with a knife, 100% etched.

**Q: Does the set nest?**
A: Yes these can nest inside one another, from largest to smallest of course.

**Q: Can you heat oil in microwave with these beakers**
A: Yes they are microwave safe.

**Q: Are they autoclavable?**
A: If they are made of borosilicate glass, as stated, yes they would indeed be autoclavable.
