(if there is a thin sheet of black ice on these surfaces since it needs a bit of something to grab into) Material: The silicon is stretchy, and durable and is much easier to put on and take off than rubber. They fit well and do not slip or come off the shoe on their own. The silicon stays flexible in very cold weather and does not break as easily like rubber will.
