I love this air cooler! I got one previously for about $36 and it broke while I was taking it out of its box! It was very fragile and I sent it back.After researching for several weeks I finally decided to try this one out. It works very well and is really sturdy. I use it on hot nights as no one has air conditioning in this part of the country. Usually the Pacific Ocean is our air conditioner, but sometimes the wind comes from the east and is hot.I recommend you spend just a little extra and get one that works well, Iike this one.

My AC went out in Texas and I was desperate for some cool relief until the AC is fixed. It arrived quickly. I followed the instructions although, the instructions do not state exactly how much water to add and there is no fill line. I added some ice and filled it with water (Note: instructions do not state how much water to add but i did not exceed the top of water window.)There's 3 speeds however the highest speed is slower than a little 6" one speed fan I have. In order to feel the air, you have to be literally 6" away away from the fan...2 inches to really feel it... like really up close. Even with the ice cubes, the the little bit of air that comes out, is not cold... It's just a tinge cooler than room temp but just a tiny, tiny bit that's not really noticeable. It actually feels the same as the other fans I have going at the moment.I'm not sure who actually wrote those other glowing reviews that encouraged me to make this desperate purchase, but this fan does not perform as described. I do not recommend it. I so desperately wanted this to work.UPDATE: the ice cubes were melted within 30 min. I had to add a fan behind it (see pic) to get a decent air flow.Still blown away by the rave reviews this got...

I live in Vegas which is very dry, so this seemed like a good option. The unit does cool the air and if you have it close by it helps. Freezing some ice cubes and adding them to the water also helps a lot. However, even though there is a setting for 8 hours, the unit doesn't keep cooling for anywhere near that long. Also, the ice melts rather quickly and the water warms up before all the evaporating cooling is done. For a different purpose, this would probably be useful, but for me using it when I sleep, it isn't worth it. Will be returning it.

So it does exactly what it says but it won't cool a large room, it will cool you down but don't expect this to be a replace of an air conditioner. If you want cool air, simply add ice and cool water to opening. It's not worth 40 dollars however, get a fan instead. It's cute, and the noise it makes is not loud at all! The features are all great as well. Get it if you need a small cooling machine for yourself otherwise invest in an a/c !

The images posted are meant to show the scale of the fan. It's small and light-weight plastic. I am a small woman and my hand spans the whole thing. It runs out of water in about 2 hours. Then it powers down to its lowest setting, which is barely felt, and blows out a gentle stream of normal air. If you are counting on it to keep you cool overnight, then you must get up several times to empty the drip reservoir and refill the water receptacle. Since it does not bring a plug, (only a USB cable), you must have a charging station or charging block nearby. Even at full strength, it must be no more than 2 feet from you to be felt. I would recommend it as a desk fan. It is definitely not a sleep fan or meant to cool more than one person at a time. Mine is presently being returned to Amazon. I am truly surprised at all the glowing reviews. In the positive side, I must say it arrived well packaged and timely.

the product is good for cooling down without having a huge air conditioner. It is perfect for personal bedside or desk use. Unfortunately, it randomly stopped working after less than a year of use so wouldn't recommend it for the long term.

This is a scam do not waste your money. I can not believe I paid nearly $70 for a bite size FAN bc this is definitely not an air conditioner.The mister does not work, the air is barely even cool, when it’s hot, the water and ice is immediately going to get warm and melt anyway. Even when it’s freshly loaded with cold water and ice the air seems to be the exact same temperature than if you turned it on without loading the water/ice on every single one of it settings! This would only be ok as maybe a desk fan that is pointing direct at you but you could get a regular small desk fan from Walmart for less than $10 with more power.I wish I read more of the reviews before purchasing but I have no idea how it’s at a 4 star avg. especially considering I bought two more fans from Walmart today that are much larger and have much more power for so much less money than this crappy one.

I did not think about it when we had someone do some plumbing for us in basement. I have it sitting in my storage room to stay cool where I keep my canning jars. I was running it & it got a lot of dust in it. I don’t know how to clean it out & I am afraid of it ruining the air cooler. You can’t take it apart. At least I can’t figure out how to. I do like it a lot though.
