Tropical Nights

A number of years back, I purchased a CD by Calido titled "Tropical Breezes". It was during a time in my life that I desperately needed peace and strength from that peace. I found a good deal of it in "Tropical Breezes". The recording was done so well that when I found that Calido had produced another CD titled "Tropical Nights," I knew I had to buy it. And, I did. So, for over ten years, I have enjoyed the music of this master guitarist and his colleagues. My regret is that, though I have searched the internet, I can find no more similar works by Calido. (Calido, sir, if you are out there...please record some more. I am a devoted fan, but I don't even know where you are.) In short, my reader, do yourself a favor and buy both of these CDs. For professional execution of the guitar and overall beauty of music, you will not go wrong in purchasing BOTH CDs.UPDATE: 03/02/2019 - After all of these years, I am still enjoying the music from this CD as well a "Tropical Breezes". However, I am updating this as I have finally figured out the name of the guitarist. In my ignorance, I said is was Calido. That was wrong. The guitarist is Ramón Stagnaro. If you are a Yanni fan, you might remember seeing Mr. Stagnaro performing the guitar on Yanni's concert at the Taj Mahal. So...if you want to hear more of Ramón Stagnaro's work, search on his name. He is one of THEE guitar greats. And, I still recommend both of the previously mentioned CDs.

This is a spectacular CD. I've been listening to it since 1995, and it never gets old. The tracs Tryptic and Invitation to a Dance contain some of the best acoustic guitar playing you will ever hear.

This is a good CD. I bought it after hearing it in a craft shop. Its very relaxing to listen too.
