Q: What is the gauge of the wires and since I will need to add wire, what gauge should I use? I have a challenger and my fuse box is in the trunk.

Have you looked at Dongar Tech? They offer an adapter that powers the dash cam off of the rear view mirror harness. Not sure if it supports an always powered lead and a switched lead.

Cigarette lighter usually are 20 amp in the vehicle, hard wire kit 5amp

Hi, This HK4 hardwire kit does not come with fuses. There is a note on its listing. "NOTE: You need to prepare 2pcs fuse tap to work with the hardwire cable. " We sell fuses separately in our store. Hi, The hk4 hardwire kit can not be used for A119 V3. The A119 v3 isn't with type-C port.
