I also love that the opening of the body is wide enough to put ice in. There are a few bottles out there that can't handle the load dropped from a residential ice maker (half moon shaped). These cups have the perfect angle that doesn't jam or stop the ice up at all. One thing I can appreciate with the 2nd generation of this bottle is that they changed the shape so it now fits in a car cupholder a lot better. The first Gen ones don't quite fit right and it was the biggest complaint from my husband that they didn't fit in his F350. These things are a breeze to put in the dishwasher and don't retain a smell. I also like filling them up 1/3 of the way with water and freezing them to take camping. Wonderful product! Also has a sturdy flexible plastic sealing rim that comes out for easy cleaning. Has a swing away secure feature which sometimes gets in the way of closing the lid but I don’t mind it. Note: My other bottle accidentally fell several feet down, many times, and it didn’t crack based on the way it fell. Both are push locks to grab the tooth of the cap. The Intak pops up faster, the Tritan barely or doesnt. 2) Ring lock mechanism. Similar, but the Tritan was diminished to a small tooth that pokes out of the top thats where it the metal hang locks the cap into place. It is smaller. The Intak was a whole plastic "mouth" over the bottom and the metal ring goes around it all. more secure, that part wont break. The Tritan tooth has broken before 3) Drink counter, Tritan is top, Intak is bottom of the cap 4) Base. Intak is an rounded oblong triangular shape and the Tritan is more rounded overall. It does stand up easier, the Intak have to make sure its placed properly or may fall 5) Mouth piece. This was the clicker for me, as well as the metal ring lock thingy. The Intak mouth piece is actually ergonomically designed for drinking, the hole is cut at an angle that makes it so much easier. The Tritan isnt cut, is round rim, and more annoying that you think, especially when coming from the comfortable intak shape. I actually bought a few more cause they get used so much. The push button latch is easy to open but has an added clip to secure it for travel, that is also super easy to disengage. I can open both the clip and the push botton clisure with one hand while holding the bottle in the same hand. Its all around prefect. It is not an actual thermos so it will sweat and will not keep things cold all day. So if that is what youre looking for check out Yeti or Stanley products.
