Long lasting..... almost Indestructible
I work with stone for a living as a dry stone waller and have always worn approach shoes because of the rubber reinforced toe box and soles.....they are after all designed for rock albeit a different application. I've worn a lot off different shoe over the years which typically need replacing within a half year because holes develop in toe box area or the sole separates. I've walled in my geckos for close to a year and half and I'm replacing because the sole tread had worn through to the next shoe layer but the shoe is otherwise incredibly intact. It's actaully quite remarkable tbh. 20 out of 10. Comfortable AF.

Amazing Shoe!
I have worn these shoes skydiving, paragliding, climbing, scrambling, hiking, scuba diving (the salt stains are still visible), as formal wear, and I finished 3rd wearing them in a 5K (pictured). These are my favorite shoes ❤️

Horrible Blisters
I had a pair of the previous design (exact same size), and they were great. The new design reduces the heel padding to the top half-inch of the heel piece, leaving a very stiff, hard area on most of the heel piece. With any movement, this causes terrible blisters. Stay away from these, and instead look at something like the La Sportiva TX4. Outdoor Gear Lab was right - there are many better options than these!
