I’m curious about the thickness of the tape, not the width. I would like to use it for putting a music staff on the board and write music. Thoughts?

It is very thin. We used it to outline a calendar on a whiteboard painted wall. It looks pretty much like a line drawn with a marker. Should work for music staffs just fine.

Will this product's adhesive release if you need to remove the tape?

Yes, and it wont leave sticky residue. Highly recommend.

Has anyone tried this tape on fabric? Specifically, t-shirt fabric. Does it stick well? Lay smooth?

No...whiteboard has been the only item.

What about metal board? will it stick to the metal board?

Yes. I used it on a metal board
