Stainless Steel Countertop Lead Reduction Water Purifier Filter (.5 Micron Carbon Block)

My son and daughter have bought this item and love it. I was hoping for same results. We have a lot of TDS in the city water and was hoping too drop it lower then what the fridge filters are capable of doing. Our TDS level is 254 out of faucet and 190 on 1 fridge (GE) and 100 on other (Maytag) due to difference of filters used (which I buy through AMAZON). I used the Zero Water TDS indicator (which is best filter ever, wish they would develop whole house system). Needless to say the TDS rate increased, higher then coming out of faucet, it was 296. I gave it to my son-in-law and he loves it . It did make a difference and gave water a better taste and coffee. Due to wife's Kidney stone issues we try and keep her TDS intake as low as possible. Great product but, 4 stars due to no TDS drop or it would have been a 5 star.

High quality product, well made. It seems to do a good job of filtering water. Easy to install, no tools required. It comes with an adapter screwed into the diverter valve, once removed it fit my faucet perfectly. It also comes with a plastic tool for changing the filter. Highly Recommended.

I purchased this produce after suspecting the pipes in my built in rental unit's under counter has 'something' in it.The water comes out fast and clean. I definitely think I was right about the built in unit.This seems well constructed, applies easily and securely in an instant. The switch mechanism is entirely stainless steel and has the feel of actually being well built for a change.FYI, the spicket tilts down so you can open and replace the filter with the included standard wrench.The cylinder has a spring loaded top inside and holds it secure. Much easier than changing the GE system which is built in under my counter.

The instructions that come with this say that there is an adapter with it. There isn't. It's just a male threaded diverter valve that will only fit in a faucet the same size. The instructions also say that if it doesn't fit, then get a universal faucet adapter kit. I did. Several of the adapters fit my sink, but NONE fit the diverter valve on the filter! There is something nonstandard in size about that diverter valve. I'm sure it fits some faucet, but I don't know which, because it would have to be about a 1 inch FEMALE (inside threaded) faucet. I wrote 2 emails to the company and they didn't answer any of them. I even asked for an exact size of the valve so I could get an exact adapter to fit. No answer. My personal opinion is not to buy this item because the company is not service-oriented and because you are gambling with whether or not it will fit your sink. As I said, the diverter is approximately 1 inch. That's a guess as it's a little hard to measure accurately with a ruler.

I have read other reviews that state this product didn't clean the water of heavy material as expected. I have used other products that produce those results that needed to be changed more frequently and used 3 stages to filter out impurities. They were expensive and a hassle, with no better taste. I feel that the bottled water no better than from the tap. All I hope for with this product is that it moves anything above .5 microns.My house has standard water pressure. There has been no noise or vibrations.

The hookup was easy, according to my daughter and SIL who live in Mexico. They suspect the drinking water might have unwanted biologicals/cysts/ giardiasis, etc. The price was very good. Now I gave them a test kit for the water. They said it takes 2 days to get results. So can’t comment yet on if this unit actually filters out unwanted viruses or bacteria until they tell me. So no 5 star until results are in.

I'm using this to filter water for my kombucha brewing. Seems to work great. Easy to set up.I wish it had a flow meter or some other means of determining when the filter life is exceeded.

My dog drinks like crazy at my daughter’s house as she has well water. He gets back here and hardly touches his water.My sauerkraut will not go! WTF?Got this filter, all is well; my poor dog now drinks like he should and I can make anything I wish.Just want to be sure I can get replacement filters when needed.
