Does this soundbar shut off automatically when not being used for a period of time? Or does it turn on automatically when you turn on the TV?

We leave ours on all the time, so when we turn the tv on the sound is on. We’ve been gone for weeks and it is still active when we return. We can use the remote to turn it off.

There are instructions on how to add the sound bar to your existing remote that came with it. You have to have the original remote if your TV isn't listed in the guide.

Does this soundbar have a sub out?

No it doesn't but I didn't care cause its got a great sound all the way around. They have bass tubes and I think its great as is. The best one I've ever had.
