A: Opening: 2.1~2.5 mm

**Q: How tight are these screwed, and can they be opened by hand without a screwdriver?**
A: They can be opened and closed by hand.

**Q: Why are we not supposed to tighten these by hand?**
A: I have atleast 50 of these type miniature glass vials in different shapes,  I  use a toothpick when closing the top to prevent any cross-threading that can damage the piece,  you can use your fingers if you like,  just have to screw it on gently.

HORRIBLE! Do not purchase! The top does not stay screwed on. All my family members lost the contents inside because all tops unloosed by themselves and the glass bottle broken on the ground with all contents! A few did not screw at all or kept turning as we were trying to close them up for life use. The chain necklaces were child size and did not fit any of us adults. One family member tried to super glue the top and it did not work. One bottle was slanted into the metal oops who is the product inspector at manufacture? What a mess and embarrassment! Yall please do not purchase this trash.
