What line should I buy for the 7' medium?

I bought a 6ft medium action rod and use 10 lb. Clear monofilament for bass fishing. This rod is an excellent on for plastic worm fishing the tip action and sensitivity is outstanding. It has a good strong ridged back for strong hook sets too.

Can you catch a salmon with the rod

This rod is an ultralight. It is designed to catch small fish such as crappie, bluegill and perch. Salmon are too large and powerful.

How much does this rod weigh in ounces?

I really enjoy using the shortest M rod I can find to float tube because I can never really set my rod down, I need to be able to reach the end of the rod tip. Which is the 5'6" and I just weighed it. Scale shows exactly 4oz. So for the ultra light, I'm sure its lighter than that.

Short an sweet

Liked the lightness of this rod! I have it paired with a 2000 series carbon reel! I can jig this rig till dooms day and not even feel it! So light and sensitive... I'm impressed it has just as much backbone as my 7+ ft rods in a 6 ft
