On projects like this please be sure to check your fittings before ordering, I almost ordered the wrong one and that would not have worked. Be very sure of what you are needing. This is, as far as I can tell, solid brass and well made. It was easy to install and works perfectly with no leaks and no pipe thread tape or dope used.

I have a solenoid installed on my propane tank outlet, which is a bit different than most for output. I had to go from a 3/8 flare from my tank to 1/4 inch mnpt to fit to this adapter. The inlet and outlet on this device are 1/4" NPT. I Installed a 1/4 inch nipple into the output, which goes directly to my regulator. Almost all regulators that I've seen are1/4"npt for input and 3/8 NPT for output. See the picture. I redid all the seals with a thread paste, so have no idea if the stock fittings would have leaked or not. They are easy enough to disassemble and redo if you need to. Everything here is brass, and decent quality. Great device to have on any RV. The quarter-inch inverted flare fitting is the easiest for me to use.

Probably 10 minutes to install. No leaks. Has worked as designed on every trip. Used it for about 8 days so far. Great for connecting the outdoor grill and then a propane fire pit.

I installed this on the fixed tank on a motorhome. I haven't been able to test the outlet for my outdoor stove as the desert was too windy, but the inlet side works great. It's nice to know if we run out of propane on the main tank I can connect a portable tank to carry us through. Installation was simple. If you don't already have hoses you'll have to order those separately or purchase the kit that comes with hoses.

I installed this Tee Connector in my boat's propane locker. I put a 1/4" reverse flare hose QCC1 and acme nut connector on the 1/4" fitting, and connected the Tee to my two propane tanks, my gas grill and to the regulator/ gauge that feeds the stove inside the boat (via a solenoid). I discovered that the two large fittings, (to the left and right in the product photo) both leaked where they were connected to the central manifold piece. Very difficult to do but I put the Tee in a vice with blocks of wood to protect it and removed all the fittings from it. The problem was insufficient pipe dope in the threaded connections. I cleaned out all the dried pipe dope material and reinstalled all the connections with two wraps of yellow teflon tape. Now it's all leak free (tested under 200 psi pressure with soapy water). Great price, and a very handy device to allow me to connect both propane tanks, my gas grill, and the ship's service (regulator, solenoid, stove), but kind of a pain that you have to refurbish the item right out of the box before it can be used.

Many RV's have protection covers and other devices built in. This pretty much required removal and relocation of those devices. Most any handyman can make things work but make no mistake, it is not always straightforward.

Great product but unfortunately my RV uses 9/16inch couplers rather than 3/4inch which this coupler has for most popular uses.
