MenScience Androceuticals Daily Shampoo, 12 Fl Oz (Pack of 1)

So I have been using this product, as well as many other Menscience products for years. Been very happy, with all, and no issues. With this latest bottle, it seems be watered down, or diluted, for lack of a better description. My hair length is unchanged, however it now takes approx. 4 times as much shampoo to get a decent lather, and to get my hair cleaned. I thought maybe a got a bad bottle, or the formula changed, and thus I contacted Menscience prior to writing this review. I got a form response, and really did not even address my question. Basically their reply was, if you don't like it, send it back to purchaser for a refund. Not only will I do that, but will also find a different shampoo. Considering the premium price, the very low quality is not acceptable.

I've been using this for many years. It's pricy, but it didn't take a lot to get my hair clean, but it's main selling point for me is that it doesn't cause my scalp to itch. It's non-scented which is a big plus due to my asthma and sensitivity to certain smells. However, the recent change has meant that I need to use a much larger amount than I previously needed and it doesn't get my hair squeaky clean anymore. It feels like it has conditioner in it. Unfortunately, while it still is great for my skin, the price has now become ridiculous compared to the value. This certainly feels like shrinkflation and an attempt to increase the frequency of purchases. Not in my case, however. I'll be looking for a new shampoo. What a shame.

I've been using this product for 8 years and have been happy with the results. I just opened this new bottle and had to recheck the label to make sure it wasn't hair conditioner. There are other recent critical comments that I'm in total agreement with. I will not purchase this again unless MenScience reverts back to their original formulation. Highly disappointed!!

Sometime in 2017 I started getting little red bumps and zits on the back of my head. I tried several shampoos ranging from your local grocery store the salon type products and nothing would clear them. I read a lot of good reviews on this shampoo and decided to give it a try. Within a week my bumps/zits cleared out. I wanted to wait a fully month before I wrote a review to see if this would help and it MOST certainly did help!! I just ordered my second bottle after a month and half. I wash my hair twice a day. I now use the products in the AM and PM and on some days, I will only use it the AM and just wash my hair with water in the PM. Overall, I am very satisfied with the product and will continue purchasing it. I will say that the 12 ounces you get here go a long way.

I do not see any visible differences by using this very expensive bottle of shampoo. Probably won't buy it again.

Exposed to lots of sun, and getting little cover from my short hair, my head often itches and peels during the warmer months. I also very sensitive to fragrance, so there are not many options in men's shampoo. Decided to try this one after reading positive comments from others. After 10 days of daily use, my head has stopped peeling and no longer itches. The shampoo has no fragrance, although it does have a kind of chemical odor, but it disappears almost immediately after rinsing. The price is quite high, by far the most I ever ever paid for shampoo, even from a stylist. The good news is, it lathers easily and I only need a very small amount each use.

Update: They sent "Although the product formulation remains the same, these minor changes are due to slight differences in the raw material from one batch to another. These differences in physical characteristics do not alter the effectiveness of the products and are safe for use." Except, the product does not work like it used to...even a couple months ago. I guess I'll be switching shampoos after 9 years using all sorts of their products. Crud....Now, I have to find a new facial cream, toner, hair treatment. I hate changing brands after this much time. I've been using this product for 9 years now, and this is the first time I haven't been happy with the shampoo. I see that 2 others have had the same consistency issues and lack of suds producing effect. The lot on my bottle is H22T07. I've contacted MenScience via their website and will have to wait on a reply, but this has been really disappointing to see after using this product this long. I'm a QA/QC Chemist, and I know how sometimes, production lots are just poor....incorrect mix times, temps, raw materials, etc.....and sometimes those poor batches get out to customers. I will revise my review once/if I hear back from their customer service.

The only shampoo out there that reliably treats my acne-prone scalp. Doesn't dry out my hair or scalp, but leaves it feeling clean and refreshed. No dandruff issues either. I used to wake up with greasy hair, but with this shampoo it's not as bad. It doesn't have a strong scent, just a very mild mint-like smell to it. You don't need to use much, even with medium length hair. A bottle usually lasts me 3 months. I've tried maybe six other shampoos, and nothing comes close. It's expensive, but completely worth it. If you suffer from scalp acne/folliculitis, or have greasy hair or scalp, this is the best product out there.
