I just love these fireplace logs. Living in Florida, we just don't get to use our fireplace often at all. Every year it seems we have less and less cold or even cool days. Our fireplace just sits unused 95% of the time. I wanted to find something to use in the fireplace that would make use of the space and give the warm feeling that a fire gives to the room. Not temperature warmth, but ambiance and coziness.I researched and researched for options. I found lots of candelabras, but none of them really had the look I wanted. Too formal or too fussy or just not pretty.Finally, I came across these tea light fireplace logs. I loved the photo and thought this might just be exactly what I was looking for. It definitely is. The candles provide a nice ambiance during warmer weather when it's just not feasible to light a real fire. I found a great deal on bulk tea light candles on Amazon, too, so I have a bunch on hand and can light this whenever I want.The logs are a little shiny so don't expect them to look exactly like logs you chopped up from a tree, but from a short distance no one's going to really notice. Up close, probably. Casual glance? Probably not. If the light shine bothers you too much, I imagine you could buff them a bit with some very fine sandpaper or steel wool. It doesn't bother me at all. Wanted to mention it since some other reviewers commented on it. I really don't notice it and none of my house guests have mentioned/noticed it either.When the candles are lit behind your fireplace curtain, all you'll notice is a warm, relaxing glow. They're made of resin, I don't expect them to. But with dim lights and your fireplace curtain closed, it's nice. The tealight candles provide a warm, glowy light that's relaxing and peaceful.

In the winter, we almost always have a fire burning in our fireplace, but we purchased these logs to increase the hygee factor in our living room this spring, making our space so much cozier. When we unboxed the logs and placed them on the fireplace grate, they appeared a bit dark in the firebox, but with candles, they're perfect. Since our fireplace grate is built-in, we required a candle set that would sit on top of it. These resin logs fit well on the grate, fill a standard fireplace nicely, and are lightweight enough to remove easily -- perfect for those "in-between" seasons when the weather can't make up it's mind & we're still switching back & forth between the heat & air conditioning in the south. We've used both real candles (tea lights and votives) as well as warm flickering wax LED votives with these logs. For everyday use, we lean toward the LEDs -- it's terrific to be able to add that coziness factor with a quick click of a remote (even though I'm a huge real fire/flame fan!). Whether real or LEDs, votives do help brighten the dark feel of the logs a bit more than tea lights, but both fit & work well. For this price point, this is a great set.To note: One of the holes for candles is not smooth and candles in that slot have to be positioned just so. Otherwise, this is a terrific set we're very pleased with.

First off, I am creating a fireplace (not really) in South Florida....so.... it’s not set in some recesssed real fire place. That said I think it looks cute and it created the look I wanted which was, a little bit of fall. I can pack up at the end of “fall and winter”.Then I can easily return to my more year round look. I included photos. There is one votive hole out of all of them that won’t fit a darn votive. And for me, that’s a loss of two stars. I’m not losing more money to return it. My floor was a wreck for a day from the foam in the box having broken during shipping. And everyone’s answer of hey just drill it a bit, that’s great. I’ve no drill. No ability to drill. Just wanted a pretty winter look in a place that is forever hot!Well I guess I better get chipping at that hole. Maybe in a month the tea light will fit.Then again, it should have come that way when purchased.

Wonderful! Absolutely charming and creates peaceful ambiance. I must admit that I was skeptical about the logs looking fake or shiny but neither is true once placed in our old fireplace. We are renters and our home was built in the 20's so needless to say it's an issue to have an actual fire. I was excited to rent our bungalow with a fire place but was disappointed when I found out that we couldn't have a fire. All my life I was comforted with a fire lit in our fireplace as a child. And wanted the same experience for my family. I found this a year ago and hesitated but with the upcoming fall season and holidays, I gave in. I can't believe I waited so long!! This has added much love, warmth (soulfully) and charm to our little place. The wood is shiny but once you set it in your fireplace, it gives it an authentic glow. It does come with tea lights that stay lit for 4 hours... Folks, that's how much I love this piece! (I timed the candles!) I saw a review about the holes not true to size for the tea lights but mine is perfect! I love, love, love this piece and recommend it highly!! Quick tip- get the extra tea lights recommended to keep on enjoying!! Cheers from one very happy customer!!
