So I have been doing Keratin treatments at home for a while now. I just got this bottle today. I have 3B curly and bleached damaged hair and this treatment was very gentle and worked really nicely. You also get a lot of product in the bottle. It says that you dont need to pre wash your hair, but I did anyways. I bought a clarifying shampoo. I waited for my hair to dry really well and then I applied the treatment. Waited about an hour and followed the instructions. So far it looks great. People keep complaining about the smell but I had no issues with smell or fumes at all. Maybe I washed too much of it out? Not sure. I have done intense Keratin treatments at home and this one was nice and easy. But my hair looks silky smooth and shiny! Im excited to see how long it lasts.

I had a severe reaction to this product after doing a strand test, applying per the directions and having a licensed hairdresser put it on my hair. My neck was red and filled with welts, so much so I had to go to the doctor. In addition, getting the product out of my hair has been difficult - so far I am on washing 6. My hair is dry and feels coated with some sort of chemical - terrible. I may have to cut it off. The supplier stated I cannot return this one time used bottle for a refund because it is over the 30 day Amazon policy, which is ridiculous as I have never encountered a supplier that doesn’t provide exceptions. They are not taking any responsibly for this disaster. BEWARE THIS PRODUCT MAY COMPLETELY RUIN YOUR HAIR!!!!

I rarely revuew. But After severe hair loss I know how important hair is to us ladies and how reviews help us choose the right products. Now for the review.... I grew my natural hair for years so am careful with anything I use. To be sure this was safe, I just tested it to see if it actually works and if it would cause any danage. I tested it on a small section of hair, dried and did 10 passes with my flat iron. I also did 10 passes on just my natural, untreated hair to see if it made a real difference. Well it does maje a big difference! You can check the pe pics to see the differencr. Now off to do the rest of my hair. Willupdate if anything happens to change my opinion.

Can make your hair smell bad, especially when wet, for the first few weeks. Contains dmdm hydantoin, which is a formaldehyde-releasing preservative. It’s low on the ingredient list, but it’s there. Likely cause of that smell and the fumes created if not enough is rinsed before flat ironing and/or hair is flat ironed at high temps (400+). Use in well ventilated area and don’t rely on tiny bathroom ventilation. Near a window with fan blowing fumes away from you would be best. Makes hair look really oily at first if you use too much. I recommend rinsing most of it out before blowdrying and pressing. I’ve seen various instructions on how to apply, but no mention of a change of formula even though the packaging has changed. Instructions on old youtube videos differed from old Amazon instructions which differed from the insert that came with the old light green bottle design, all which greatly differ from the new instructions on Amazon for this new dark green bottle design. Very weird honestly. All that being said, I’ve used it about 4 times over the last ~2 years. Just now found out about the dmdm. Def should have done better research, but here we are. The first time I barely rinsed because that’s what the instructions said to do and my hair was flat, oily and smelly. The second time was only about 3 or 4 months later and I rinsed more, but my hair was kind of brittle. Both times used high heat to press and hair was really straight when wet. Wash and go’s looked crazy 🥴 Naturally 3b/3c, fine, dense, high porosity. I gave my hair a break for about 8 months after that and my curls came back, slightly looser and smoother. Volume came back too. Very full and bouncy, shrinkage and all. Make sure to space treatments out and prioritize moisturizing products for maintenance. Don’t add any more heavy protein for at least a few months. Light keratin leave ins occasionally should be ok after a month or two, but I would skip protein masks. The 3rd time I used it, I rinsed most of it out and deep conditioned with a moisturizing mask before blowdrying and pressing. The 4th time, I didn’t use a deep conditioner after and also didn’t press after; only blowdried. Hair felt smoother and curls stayed intact both times, but it didn’t provide as much humidity blocking. My main goal is to have my presses stay straight longer (scalp sweater and shower steamer living in the humid south). I recommend rinsing almost all of it out and pressing at about 380 degrees, not 400+, especially if your natural hair type is similar to mine. Since it’s been well over a year since I applied it using the original instructions, I have inches of new growth that’s not as stretched and smooth as the treated ends. Thankfully my natural curl pattern and texture is loose and smooth enough that I’m able to apply products and manipulate it to have a smooth transition for my wash and go’s.

From reading other reviews about other Keratin straightening products, I expected a longer processing time or my hair to be a little sticky during the drying process. This was the EASIEST process! There is no need to wash the hair first and there are some fumes during the initial application. But the results were unbelievable! My hair straightened well and the drying was incredibly fast, even when I washed my hair a few days later and let it air dry. After washing out the solution, I flat ironed it and the shine was brilliant! The softness when it air dried is incredible. I have permanently parted with relaxers (which didn’t prevent frizzing) and wish I did this years ago!

The best at-home keratin treatment I’ve ever used. It loosened my curls from a 4b to 4a. My hair is much easier to detangle and blow dry. It blow drys straighter and sleeker. My hair stays moisturized for two weeks. The application process was appealing and easier due to not having to first clarify. One note in response to some reviews talking about fumes, there are none. They have obviously never had a real keratin treatment with formaldehyde. Formaldehyde burns your eyes and makes it water. This is absolutely formaldehyde-free. The only thing is it gives off an odour of white vinegar while blowdrying. Would 100% recommend, reuse, and repurchase. If you’re thinking of texturizing your hair, give this a try first. I imagine that the effects could even be layered with multiple applications, but I was satisfied with my results.

I was genuinely surprised by this product. Although I received the older packaging and wasn't sure whether there were any differences compared to the current version, the final results were excellent. I applied the treatment myself at home, and I can honestly say I achieved salon-quality results. My hair is smooth, frizz-free, incredibly shiny, and much easier to manage on a daily basis. The treatment left my hair looking healthy and feeling silky without weighing it down. Another unexpected benefit was that I noticed a slight reduction in hair shedding, which had been quite intense recently. While everyone's experience may vary, this was a very welcome result for me. Overall, I'm extremely happy with this keratin treatment and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for smoother, more manageable hair without having to visit a salon.

It made my hair straight . But not by following the instructions as they were useless. I washed hair with clarifying shampoo, then I let it dry 80 percent then I put the cream and combed it through and towel dried any excess , then I let it sit for 45 mins, then I dried it with hair dryer , then made tiny sections after it's fully dry , and I flat ironed each section 8 times . It didn't smell so bad at all but keep window and fan open . To make sure my platinum doesn't turn yellow, I added two drops purple food coloring liquid. Otherwise this treatment will turn your hair very very yellow. I tried in small strand .

This one really lightens my natural hair colour. Not as strong holding as others I have used but did an ok job for the price. I’m getting a few treatments out of this bottle
