The dam thing is huge lol. It is made well and I am sure it would protect my hand if it fit. I measured my hand prior to ordering according to the chart that the seller provided. I measure 8.5 inches wrapping from palm heel to thumb webbing so according to them I would fit a Medium, Men's Medium which is a women's Large- Extra Large so that's what I ordered. Personally I would prefer a snug fit so that I can maintain more dexterity when wearing it. At this size the glove would just get in the way when I am trying to cut.I can actually fit both hands in this glove (my husband and I had a good laugh over that). So... Yeah... I'm thinkin' I'll send this big feller back and get me an extra small and hope that I don't have to get the extra, extra small.I'll update once I have a size that I can actually use.5/29/2016UPDATE:I ordered the xxs and I could get my hand in it but it was too snug to completely close my fist. I sent it back and got the xs and it is the right size. I have used it a few times with my mandolin and all my fingers are safe and happy.

The media could not be loaded.  I got fancy and bought myself a very sharp knife, then cut my finger good on the first use =__=I quickly went to Amazon to find something to protect my finger because I still had plenty of cutting to do for cooking for a lot of people. Thankfully this was available for a Same-Day shipping. Amazing! I ordered at 12.06am and it arrives around 7pm the same day. Thank you Amazon!!Based on the other helpful review pictures, I found that my size must be XS (well based on the pictures, the reviewer had the same hand size as me approximately, so that makes it easy). It fits really nice, and I don't feel constricted at all cutting and preparing a lot of food with this.My mom asked if this must make me cut the onions less thin, but actually I could cut the onions thinner with this because I'm no longer afraid to cut my finger LOL.Pretty pricey, but I like the fact that it's easy to clean and dries fast. I haven't tried the dishwasher, because hand wash was pretty fast already.

I used the sizing chart and erred on the side of sizing down and it ended up fitting great. I have long thin hands that are pretty big for a woman and an XS fit me just about as well as you could ask for, though sometimes there’s a little extra coming down at the fingertips. This glove is protective, has held up to cutting and grating and peeling so far, and is super easy to clean. It stays on my hand well while I’m using it. Only downside was that it was expensive, but worth it given the stuff I’ve accidentally done to my hands before I got it.

This seems like a good quality product, but I can't use it due to restricted mobility of hand. If the glove were not ambidextrous...that is, if it were fitted specifically to left hand or right hand, I think maybe it would work better. But as it is, there is too much restriction. I was trying to use this to protect my hand during mandolin cutting, where my protected hand is doing forceful work. I think it might work better if I'm using this kind of glove for simply holding a piece of meat or produce while my OTHER hand is doing the knife work or cutting.

everything is pretty much ok with this product, I do have one issue though -I followed instructions exact. and agree overall the measure at the knuckles less 1 size does work however that raises a more interesting problem. getting that initial set of knuckles past the hand opening. what a very very tight fit. I'm contemplating the larger size but not sure if it will fix the problem ...and then I have to know how much larger the fingers are.

I have purchased many gloves designed to protect my hands when I am cutting up foods using very sharp knives and a commercial grade mandolin. Many of these products I would never recommend nor ever purchase again; others I somewhat trust when I am working with an extremely sharp knife, but I would never fully trust them to protect me when I am slicing food using the mandolin. This glove is the only glove I fully trust to protect my hands when using the mandolin or any of my razor sharp knives. If you value keeping your hands safe this glove is worth every cent you will spend to acquire it.

We looked up something for protection after she cut herself preparing dinner for the umpteenth time. This glove looks like the perfect solution when it arrived it was very very snug maybe we should have gotten a larger size but after using it a couple times it fits like a glove of course. She is now using it and thinks it is great no more slicing of the hand. Wow. She will not let me use it it's hers. I think we got a great product

Read reviews before you order size, which I did and ordered a smaller size than normal gloves. Fits well. Best quality for price among dozens offered on Amazon. Do wish there was a closure that doesn't catch on the other links of glove when not in use. Requires untangling sometimes. Feel confident of its safety for my hand. Very satisfied. Recommended by my butcher.
