**Q: Is this product the entire 4 piece system?**
A: This is the Gortex outer bivy cover.

**Q: Does this add any thermal protection value when used with a sleeping bag?**
A: Yes!  I use it with my down quilt and 20" wide thermorest pad inside and it adds about 10 degrees of warmth.  Love this bivy!  You do need to be careful about condensation which will lower the thermal value of your bag if it gets wet.  Don't put your head inside the bag.

**Q: How do you know that this is actually Gore-Tex.  I can’t find anything that specifically states it.?**
A: This is military issue so, being a veteran who also owns one I can guarantee its actually gor-tex.

**Q: Are these used??**
A: You can buy them used or new
