If all my fingers were thins this product would get a 10 thumbs up! Someone with good intentions took an 'eraser' type clean g pad to my new truck, in an attempt to remove a swipe mark. The result was many many scratches to the clear-coat finish. A local body shop wanted $125 to buff out the scratches. I purchased this product to try the task myself, and 2 minutes of using it with a round polishing pad, by hand, and then wiping the excess with a paper towel- every scratch mark was gone and the clear-coat finish shines like it's brand new right out of the factory! An excellent product!!!

I have used scratch removers in the past from other manufacturers and found their performance to be lack luster at best. Having been impressed with other Mothers products I recently thought "What the heck" and purchased the Mothers California Gold scratch remover. I thought it best to test this product on the worst scratches I could find. Naturally I went to my wife's car and found what I was looking for. Due to my previous experiences I wasn't willing to hold my breath. Now I wish I had taken before and after pictures. To say I was astonished does not do it justice. After using the Mothers California Gold Scratch Remover on her car I AM NOW AND WILL FOREVER BE A FAN! It is unreal how well this product works and how little effort is required. In a few short minutes my wife's painted surfaces went from looking like it had gone three heats in a demolition derby to looking near perfect. There were a few spots where nothing short of a new paint job or divine intervention would remove the blemishes. But even they look much better than before. To the folks at Mothers, you never cease to amaze me. You have a loyal customer for life.

It took me a while to put up a review as I had no cause to use it. My Dad came to me with a 3 foot scratch along the side of his van. It looked like the ol trying to fit a shopping cart between the wall and the vehicle maneuver. The scratch was not deep, but it did go past the clear coat in spots. Following the instructions, I applied a bit and rubbed in different directions. It took the scuff mark off the van with moderate work. I would say it removed this a lot quicker than paste wax would and with less effort. Once the scuff mark was off, I could still see a mark in the clear coat which varied in depth. I continued to work on this. It disappeared in spots completely and seemed to repair the scratch back to original, but there were still areas that need more work. Before I proceed further, I will consult someone more knowledgeable than me just in case I do harm to the finish by working it too much. Don't get the wrong idea, after using this product and putting a wax coat back on, it is pretty much disappeared, but if you know where to look, the deeper areas can still be detected in the right light.

I recently bought a used car that had a few spots that the dealer said they wouldnt be correcting - I decided to give this a shot and I was very happy when this took out the biggest scratch on the car. There were a few spots that did not go away and some because lighter or less noticible but overall I'm happy with the results.

I had a couple of surface scratches. Nothing too deep or too wide. they were just annoying blemishes. Following the instructions I applied and buffed the scratches. It didn't appear to help at all. I went on to some other detailing items and at the end I came back to the scratches and tried it one more time. There was still no effect of the spots. Maybe I did something wrong or maybe the scratch remover wasn't made for these types of scratches. I've given up for now and gone on to apply a hydrophobic polish to the entire car. That actually helped the scratches a little.

Black cars are literally impossible to keep clean. And car washes are a No-No as the brushes, with leave behind scratches & swirl marks that are more apparent on a black car than any other color. But this product does an excellent job of not only cleaning but it leaves behind a shine that actually lasts for quite awhile. Nothing else I've used makes my car shinier or stay cleaner looking longer. I'll buy another as soon as this bottle is gone.

Absolute garbage. Tried on a variety of different scratches of different depths. Process was: - Wash and dry - Apply scratch remover as indicated - Followup with quick detailer - Followup with synthetic wax End results: Zero effect on any of the scratches. One it even made more visible by filling it in with a white substance. Don't waste your time or money.

My mother’s 2013 Honda Civic in a dark maroon was full of scratches, some big, some small. Fingernail scratches around the door handles, a bad key scratch across the panel between the tail lights, and a few more here and there. I read all the stuff I could find, most fixes were expensive, needed talent, required special tools, and on and on. I found this on Amazon and for ten bucks, figured it was worth a try. I was amazed. Just a few minutes on each scratch is all it takes. Small ones, like the fingernail scratches around the door handles, disappeared quickly. The large key scratch between the tail lights is greatly diminished not quite gone, but not noticeable. I guess a few more applications would make that better too. This is truly an excellent product that simply does what it says it will do, remove scratches.

Maybe good for very miner scratches but did not do much with ours.

It's a very good product for mild scratches, not too abrasive. Provides a perfect finish, I recommend to always follow with some Carnauba wax.

Good product to remove minor scratches.
