The wire is very delicate and metal clips are very small as well. I used mine to hold some thin cotton curtains and it works great for that. It could hold a small thin quilt possibly, but certainly not a bed-sized quilt.

Q: how long is the cable

81 inches in my orders, which was way too short. I ended up driving to the hardware store to buy a 25 foot roll of picture hanging wire for $6.50 instead of spending that in return shipping to this seller that can't be bothered to actually use or display an exact length of cable in the product listing.

Q: I want to hang a curtain in a tiny window that's 22 inches across. Will this work in such a small space? Can I get the wire tight?

Get compression rods. They word for dorways and window-frames. I like them and can easily hang fabric across a doorway. That is called a portiere.

Q: Can this set be mounted on ceiling as well? What's the max weight that this can take? Thanks!

not for ceiling, it would put a lot of stress on the screws holding it in and eventually give way. they don't hold that much weight I hung a sheet across the hole 10 foot cable 90 inches in height and it had a 1/4 sag from the weight (300 mircofiber sheet)
