Very useful information, consistent and bargain for the price.
I have used this for about a week. I have a sleep disorder and not full blown apnea but drops in O2 levels. With an O2 monitor and this I have been exploring improved sleep, It is not medical data, but it is some data that gives you consistent feedback relative to day to day changes. So I have been experimenting. My Dr had recommended going back on CPAP, which I resisted, but seeing the over 4% drops in 02 Monitor. I finally did. stabilized with no drops of any kind during night. Oddly enough, before that I observed that a certain sleep aid caused excessive drops, so stopped that, and voila, improvement, Final stabilization came with CPAP and the Right mask. the beauty rest is additional info with pieces to the sleep puzzle, that I will work with Dr. to review. Seems I need more deep sleep to feel rested. Take sleep medication, so if we adjust I can monitor impacts...and evaluate changes in daily routine relative to how I feel. It is simply a piece of information...with it, you have something..rather than nothing, so I find it useful. and it is consistent. Installation is easy...do have 2.4 WIFI as others have noted. It works fine on a sleep by number adjustable bed. App and software is easy to use...even for this oldster tech dunce...reports and data very detailed and useful You can use manually, or set up to automatically start and end. If set with automatic start and end times, you edit actual sleep begin and end times afterwards if you want. also you can write comments to memo notes to self. Improvements will be coming no doubt, and they do solicit and forward feedback to tech’s...so look forward to enhancements in future. Notes: no live support which would be useful. they do answer questions by email, in a timely way. but it would be better to talk to someone and get follow up questions answered when you have them and clarifications. Surprised an outfit as big as this doesn’t have live support, but maybe there are other reasons...such as not wanting to confuse tech issues with medical issues. In any case, they are available. However, I do want to emphasize the support staff are very responsive and do communicate thoughtfully and courteously. They are very open to suggestions and improving the product. Tip of the hat for that. Also, the app downloads in a fixed orientation and does not rotate with iPad. Since I used a fixed holder with plug at top of screen, it is upside down on home screen and awkward. the graphic report does rotate to horizontal. I put in feedback to tech team so maybe they will make a change in next version. All in all I am VERY happy with results and am recommending it to all my friends. UPDATE: have used for a month and am even more impressed. Consistent information provided, allowing me to monitor changes I make or changes in routine.Want to emphasize how good their support staff are, even though they are by email, they are responsive, thorough and follow up. Couldn’t imagine not having this product. Finally feel like I am making some progress in resolving sleep issues.

Beware! Beautyrest sleep tracker no longer supported!
There's no sense in buying this product because you won't be able to get any support or readings from the unit. I bought this in 2023 it was working now when we had to disconnect for a new mattress the app is not supported meaning you won't get any results. Was great while at worked but in 2024 forget it. You will waste your money.

OK... WOW!
I'm a data whore, I love having all the extra little bits of information that I can get my eyes on. This sleep tracker is truly amazing. I've been using it a couple of days now and comparing it to other trackers I have. This by far has the most detailed information, and so far is the most accurate. I've had sleep issues my whole life, mix that with asthma and sleep is not really my friend. Sleep Tracker has given me detailed information that I was unaware of before (even with the other trackers I've tried). I'm getting a clear picture of when I get the best sleep. I'm able to analyze the data, compare it with my room sensors (temp/air quality/noise level/humility) and slowly getting better and better night's sleep. Top it off with reminders of when to start getting ready for bed (coming directly to my Apple Watch), gentle alarm to wake me up during the optimal time (no more jarring alarms), and integration with Apple HealthKit. I can't recommend this enough for anyone who values their sleep and wants to know how to make it better.

Very impressive daily reports, but one weakness you need to know about
I was skeptical that a sleep tracker sensor located 12-14 inches below my head under a pillow and multi-layer mattress could possibly work well, but this thing is impressive. It measures heart rate, breathing rate, and knows when you get off the bed. It breaks your sleep into three flavors: light sleep, deep sleep, and REM sleep. It's really cool to see from night to night how much of each you are getting. And the daily emails contain coaching tips. The only weakness I noticed is that it will give you credit for light sleep when you're awake. This device really just doesn't know if you're lying there awake or sleeping. If you get up to go to the bathroom and have 20 minutes of conscious awake time before drifting back to sleep, all of that will likely count toward light sleep. Otherwise, it's a great tool to help me focus on getting better sleep.

Very impressive and could be even better
tl;dr - THIS REQUIRES A 2.4 GHZ WIRELESS NETWORK! That info sadly is not obvious on the product listing but is important to check before purchasing. We are using this with a 14" thick Serta iComfort foam mattress so I think it it can detect through that it could work on anything. I really think this is close to a 4-4.5 star but gave it a 5 to offset some of the truly stupid 1-star reviews. Now for the detail... So my wife and I briefly had a Sleep Number bed with their tracking app and while not perfect I grew to like it. Ended up not liking the bed so much so it is being returned but I was really craving that data so I found this thing after seeing a number of other devices that seemed to range from $300-700 for 2 sleepers whereas this guy is under $100 and looked to give me even more than the Sleep IQ did. That is why I bought it and so far it's been pretty great, but the Sleep IQ did work with my Nest and could lower and raise my thermostat which this cannot currently do however it does support basic Alexa integration so maybe one day. Anyhow, the whole thing took about 30 minutes to set up. One thing to be aware of is that the processor box does not work with 5 GHz wireless networks. I'm sure this saved them a few bucks, but I also bet that is what 99% of the complaints in this review are about because it isn't clearly noted on the product page and even then a lot of people may not understand the technicalities of their router especially if it is ISP provided. The setup process was pretty painless but I did hit a snag during setup where the processor was having trouble connecting to my WiFi network. I solved it by unplugging/re-plugging the processor and relaunching the app after which it connected no problem. Yes you have to create a special account (no FB/Google linking) but it's really no big deal. If you want to add a second sleeper you generate a link from within the app and it sends them an email. My wife had no problem with this. Unlike the Sleep Number, I can not see my Wife's data and she can't see mine. I'm not sure I care one way or another but just FYI. Also, yes there is an optional $30/year "premium" tier for the app but it seems completely superfluous. The big selling point is unlimited data storage for long-term (greater than 1y) analysis and some sleep coaching stuff. The first night's report doesn't come out until "18 hours after initial setup" which seems oddly specific and a bit strange but we did get our report and I loved it. It gives me everything I had with Sleep IQ except with more detail AND crucially, it explains the various readings, what is normal, and what factors affect your overall score which the other system didn't do. My wife tried to use the wake up alarm and it did not go off the first night for some reason so that may be something to watch out for but it may have also been because it was the first night. All in all, this seems like a really great product, especially for $100 which covers 2 people. Contrary to what others have said I found the App very well designed and helpful, down to them explaining exactly why they need certain permissions on my phone. I certainly wouldn't sub this out for any medical grade device if you need it for health reasons but if you're just trying to track you sleep vitals for fun or self improvement then this is a great thing. Hopefully they add even more features via software but honestly I already feel like I got my money's worth!

It guesses and it guesses poorly
Update: Support asked me to work with them... so I'm going to will update if it changes the below Update worked with support 1 more star because support was good TLDR it guesses poorly and they reviewed my sleep patterns manually and concluded it guesses poorly, new algorithms are coming out in 6 to 8 weeks which will make it guess less poorly... ------------------------- Ok, diagnosed insomniac who has gone through a lot of these types of devices here is my review with empirical findings Does well: 1) Knows your in the bed 2) Seems to do a fair job at breath rate and heart rate What it doesn't do well: 1) Know you are sleeping 2) Know when you are moving 3) Have any real idea what sleep state you are in Details: I had to turn automatic detection off which is one of the big advantages of this product. It simply decides I'm asleep simply because it finds me in the bed. Enter bed at 10:00pm --- Fall asleep around 11:30ish device says I was asleep by 10:05pm clearly not ideal. I can in fact lift my phone up ... sit up in bed flick through the app itself and it will happily tell me I was sleeping the whole time. Stages of sleep: It just guesses as far as I can tell it has some level of timing and thinks you went to bed at x so therefore you should be in REM phase by y so going to record that. It's told me I'm in REM when I'm looking at the app, it's told me I'm in deep sleep while looking at the app. This thing has no concept of what stages you are by any of the things that it measures. Wake you up at a good time alarm: Never worked wakes me up at the exact time I set it for and usually tells me it interrupted a nice rem cycle that I'm sure I wasn't in. Conclusion: Perhaps people normally have a much wider division of their awake breath rate and heart rate than I do. However at least for me it has no concept of me being awake or asleep, no idea what phase of sleep I am likely in, and because of all that doesn't really offer anything but a heart and breath rate monitor.

Helps me go to bed earlier!
After 3-4 months of using this device. I gotta say, tracking is 99% accurate for 2 people on a full size mattress. I can remember a couple times that this device tracked my gf's heart rate. I would know because her heart rate runs 30 beats per minute higher than mine. Other than that, it has a very accurate method to detect my sleep and wake time - I still don't really understand how it does it, since I don't move much before falling asleep and upon awakening. But the best thing about this sleep tracker is the underlying benefit of rewarding your brain to aid a development of positive habits. let me explain..... This device gives you a report every morning to reflect how you slept. If you went to bed late, it most likely gives a bad sleep score. An ambitious person like me would always go for a higher score every day, and therefore forming a positive habit. Every time when I want to watch that one additional episode of Jack Ryan. The sleep score pops up in my brain. Sometimes I will keep watching any way. but the fact that I can feel the slight resistance, earns this product the 5-star. All in all, - Very good product.

Best sleep tracker on the market!
This product comes with an app. I made the mistake of setting up the sleep tracker using the paper manual when the app teaches you step by step. Although I was able to do it with the manual easily, the app was much thorough and intuitive. Setup overall was easy. There is initial setup for both my partner and I in regards to our sleep goals and duration but after initial setup, the tracker just track our sleep even without us telling it manually we’re going to bed. My partner likes to use the manual mode but for me, I just like to go straight to bed and let it to the rest. Otherwise, I wake up, leave the bed or tell the app I’m awake and my report is generated on the app and I get one sent to my email. This is by far the best product I’ve purchased in a while. There’s even a sleep coach that guides you on your sleep pattern and “coaches” you how to improve and achieve your goals. Did I mention there’s no subscription based services, I mean there is but as a stand-alone product, it gives you everything I mentioned above. You can use the subscription but I believe that the product itself sold me already. Fantastic! For one product I’m happy it can track sleep for you compared to other sleep trackers on the market

Works well enough
This monitor does what it says it does. I have a Fitbit Charge 2 so I compared my data with this monitor and their only similarities are the time of falling asleep and morning wake up time. Every thing else (heart rate, phases, time awake,...) have a lot of variations. There are differences of 30-60mins of average sleep time which is quite a lot. The monitor seems to think that I sleep more than my Fitbit. I have woken up a few nights and checked the clock to verify the next morning if the monitor tracked it and it didn't most of the times. My Fitbit averages my times awake at 28x for 1h25 while this monitor averages it to 2x for 25mins. Other than that, it's a fun gadget to have but you can't take any of it too seriously.

Insightful
Awesome little gadget. I love receiving my daily reports, they seem quite accurate too!

Didn't get accurate readings unfortunately
The sleep monitor wasn't able to sense when I woke up through the night so I couldn't quite trust it's other readings.

Very useful sleep study tool.
You sure get to understand how much light, deep and REM sleep you get.
