It is small strips of bonded leather, which don't usually last as long as a solid leather belt. But the metal accents (tip and retention bar) look nice. It seems a bit over priced, but what isn't nowadays.

This is like so many other men's dress belts but it's about 1/4 inch narrower. I can't speak to the durability yet.
