Indoor Antenna BAS-2002 WiFi Ladder - Directional Easy to Install Extender Booster Amplifier for WiFi Routers - High Gain Directional

I purchased this for a 2.4Ghz camera antenna that we could not keep a good signal from (it is in a separate building) once set up this brought the signal from a 1 bar to 2 bar solid signal to the base unit. It no longer drops in and out all the time, it stayed on even during a rain storm. I should note we had already upgraded the antenna on that camera to a 9Db gain from the 5Db gain it came with just to get the signal at all from the start. This does not increase your power or gain it just directs the signal in a different pattern that may help depending what your issues is to start with. It did help with mine and I may get another one...

First, there are absolutely no instructions with the product, the only way i knew how to set it up was from information I found on the Amazon website.Second, I followed the instructions on the website to maximize the signal boost, and there was no change whatsoever in the signal strength with the "Ladder" installed.Save your money, this device does not work.

I am absolutely astonished that something as simple as a piece of properly engineered plastic can make such an improvement. Raised the signal on my "straight talk" wireless home system by 50%. Had already changed the 3db antennas to 9db units (male screw on fitting with the knurl fitting needing to be ground smooth on a bench grinder - antennas available on Amazon) took the signal from 1 dot up to 2 dots (4 being maximum) while the ladder boosters raised the signal up to the 3rd dot. This proves these also work on 5ghz, the "straight talk" band in use.

Nice booster, better than a electronic booster.

I had high expectations but it did not work as I expected. No improvement over antenna without this device.
