i'm not sure they last any longer but there is less bruising. i always move my bananas into the refrigerator when they start spotting so they last longer that way.

Can this hold 1 banana?

How could you hang one banana if there’s nothing for the banana to hold onto I absolutely love it, but I certainly would never be able to hang one banana on there. It’s very well balanced. It’s never tipped over and I hang 3 4 5 6 7 bananas on at a time.

It’s about 6.5 inches. It’s nice and sturdy. It does not wobble or fall. I love it. I’ve placed about 6-8 large bananas on it and they stayed on without any issues.
