I have cooked escargots for over 100 times and these are the best snails from a can that I have used. The price is excellent also. The size is medium and there are 100 in the can. We don't prefer the "giant" snails that often come in a dozen to a small can. The giant ones have a lot of what looks to be digested oatmeal that has to be pulled off and cleaned before using. These Consul snails are good to go without any work except for poaching them with white wine, stock and herbs which one should always do to enliven snails before baking them in the snail butter. These are good size and super tasty.
