They are EXCELLENT!!! I sautéed in a little butter with garlic and a squeeze of fresh lemon. One can is perfect for two people and they’ll taste like your eating at a gourmet restaurant!!!

These snails have always been of high quality and when prepared properly they cannot be beat. Nothing better than fresh butter, shallots, garlic, parsley and cheese with fresh baggett bread will make your tongue slap your brains out.

I have had these many times before and always excellent. A few months ago, I ordered a case of 12 cans for $54 and only received one can. I got a partial refund and ordered again and again got only one can instead of a case of 12. More refund so I wasn’t out of the money but I didn’t get the product. This time a few months later, I got my full case. These are my favorite escargots. Despite from Indonesia, they are to me the best, and better than the Helix snails from France. Why, these Roland snails are cleaned better. Fore than are canned. You can rinse, refresh them by patching in herbs, stick and white wine and you are ready to go. Many other brands, including the French snails have not had the tail part of the snails rubbed off so the directive track at the end of the s ails are still full of the oatmeal the snails have been fed. Snails are always fed with a neutral grain like oatmeal for a short time to cleanse their digestive track. It is a safety thing to cleanse their internals before getting them ready to cam and sell. While harmless, I don’t like to bite into something like a few grains of well cooked rice at the end of the snail when I eat them with a delicious garlic and parsley butter. To get rid of the back end of this stuff, you have to clean each one. These Indonesian snails don’t have this problem. Pricing is unbeatable. We always like buying by the case of 12 as we love them. Bravo.

We purchased 12 cans one year ago. We had used six cans but had not used any recently. Yesterday I opened one and a strong odor was immediately obvious - actually the appropriate descriptor would be stench. Assuming it was a aberration, I opened a second can with the same result. Frankly I am afraid to open any more of the cans, and I will not. I do not see any due dates on the cans, so I assume that they should have had a reasonable shelf life - perhaps several years. Is my experience unique to product? Did I miss something? I think from here on that I will limit my eating escargots to restaurants, but I am concerned about other canned and bottled products that you offer. Can you enlighten me about this products as well as others that may have problems?

These Roland escargot are very difficult to find in my local stores, so I’m always happy to find them on Amazon. They are large and tender, and when combined with butter, garlic, shallots and a bit of white wine, they are the perfect accompaniment to a loaf of crusty bread. It’s so easy to make a $25 restaurant appetizer at home for a fraction of the cost. Btw- box and all cans were in perfect condition.

Have been eating this brand for years. Really good quality snails.
