If installed correctly, there should be no leakage. It's light weight and I haven't had a problem with anything fitting different bowls (main vs powder room). The same model fit both well. The length of the unit/nozzle worked well on both types of bowl. The equipment is a plastic materials is good quality, the last version lasted me for around 5 or 6 years, I don't expect to have any issues with these moving forward either. The door protects the nozzle from body fluids I use a Lysol or Clorox wipe to clean the door and the area around it. It is not really dirty but I just like to give it a quick swipe. If anything ever accidentally got in the nozzle the self cleaning feature would take care of it. But I had to get an adapter for it because the shut off valve was too close to the bottom of the tank of the toilet. No big deal.
